Im confused as to the market Samsung are targeting with this phone.. The i9000 still has a reasonably hefty price tag and this is an improvement so therefore must cost more. So it's going to be pushing the price bracket of the SGS2..! Considering the SGS2 is superior to the i9001 in every way I dont see who would actually buy this phone.

linky to the "Galaxy S II vs. Galaxy S Plus vs. Optimus 2X: Head to head revisited" in the intro seems to be broken.

Huh, what's this?! The original Galaxy Crap gets an update? LOL How many Galaxies now 20? Samsung keeps on diluting the Galaxy name. It's synonimous to defective crap now. I wonder if the yellow screen defect comes as an extra feature lol

You cannot compare the i9... moreYeah, so? Samsung obviously overclocked the CPU to go that high. Its range is between 200MHz and 1400MHZ. HTC and SE decided not to overclock.
And about the benchmarks - why can't they compare different models. The idea is whether the Galaxy S Plus is worth it to go for if you're a Galaxy S user. IS IT BETTER> Misleading my a**

When will Samsung going to stop re-doing the same product over and over again?
Running out of ideas?
Could someone update me on how many "Galaxies" are already there?

Nice preview.
Only thing is that the gpu of the plus has less potential than the original, neocore shows 55ish FPS...you all know that its limited to 56.

RAM is still 512mb, which is crap for android. Best to skip for better model. Low ram is the killer for Android phones, not processing speed.

It might sound dumb... but I have a question. the phones desing looks the same as the galaxy S 9000. But is the battery phisicaly bigger or just capacity... cause if its a higher capacity battery the same size of the last phone I would be willing to upgrade my Galaxy S 9000 battery for this one. Is this possible GSM Arena??

You cannot compare the i9001 to the i9000 as if it's an upgrade or update.
it's more of a what if - ie. what if samsung decided to use qualcomm's scorpion/andreno 205 instead of the hummingbird/power vr SGX540 processor.
the comments in the benchmark section is misleading, saying that "So far so good for the Galaxy S Plus, with the Galaxy S lagging far behind..." it's comparison of completely different processors, NOT an update to the phone. you should probably mention why the linpack scores - 46.4 (i9001) vs 13.5 (i9000) are so different (ie. linpack optimized for snapdragon procs...)
PS. the Qualcomm processor MSM8255 used in the i9001 is the same as the HTC Desire HD, HTC Desire S, HTC Incredible S, HTC Inspire, Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc...[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snapdragon_(system_on_chip)]

Very nice phone. Powerfull specs and superior to iPhone 4 in everything. But, Samsung will have to make a very aggressive price campaign as the Galaxy S II is the new king of the neighborhood.

If the price is good enough, then this should sell lots. SuperAMOLED is still great!
