Man looking at this phone OS again all I can say is: it's so damn ugly. Don't get me wrong, I've already own a Nokia C6-01 and I really loved the phone, but Symbian Belle was just essential... just look at the widgets, the battery/signal indicators, the soft keys... it's just so horrible to be on a phone in 2011...
Anyway, I'm a Nokia fan and I own a N9 right now...

factory reset the phone. delete all data and restore after updating to the latest nokia belle. make sure u back up the contacts. it works well

im using x7 from last 7months it was working properly after i installed belle os it was fine.but today suddenly it is not swiching on.and the back of the phone is getting hot i dont know wht is the problem??? anybody has any idea then pl reply.

pankaj, 04 Aug 2011l purchased nokia x7 just a month before and am very happy ... morei bought x7 immediately when it came out (love at first sight) and have been using it since and I've never had any hanging problem. It might be because you download each and every shitty free apps/games/video/porn that you come across. Battery life is a little poor but it's a big phone so i Dont mind. Overall i think it's the best phone if you use it well.

I purchased X7 after reading reviews here. Since 3 months it hanged thrice. As I could not remove battery I took the phone like 'Emergency' to the Nokia care centre and twice they took 15 days to return the X7. Third time they said they will replace it and after 25 days sent me a replaced one - Old, color changed and fully scratched on the back. I refused and wrote them back and these guys (I should have used foul language) never returned a reply. It hanged while I was taking a picture. DO NOT buy this fugitive mobile. Only appearance is good. It is better you see it as a demo piece. Shabby service!

but fixed focus is a deal breaker for me ....

Then wait a few seconds and turn it back on. Also, make sure not to keep opening new apps while other there are still many apps running in the background. To check running apps in the background, press and hold menu key until a task manager appear showing all the running apps. Try to close all the running apps.

But from my experience as Nokia user, try to switch off your phone and take off the battery (if it is possible to remove though because i'm not sure about that). If cannot remove battery, search through google on soft reset Nokia X7. If that still cannot solve, try to uninstall all apps that you installed on your own. Then restart your phone. Usually, this case happen when the installed apps is not properly installed or most of the time due to pirated apps. So try to avoid pirate apps from the outside website that have been hacked. Buy apps from ovi store. Hope this help.

I actually played with this phone in the shop before I bought my E6, It is a very good phone and it is amazing to hold. Feels like a Rolls Royce to hold compared to most phones available today (plastic, stop working after 3 months etc). My N95 Still plays as well as it did when I bought it! Cant say the same about my old iPhone 3G and 3GS - which now run like absolute DOGS!!

The current price seems to be a bit above EUR 300 if you're lucky - for that, and with an autofocus/macro mode camera, I'd have considered buying it.
