Honestly, they are being waaaaaay to generous with their review of this phone. The battery life was good. Camera, good. Video, not great but okay. It was good size to hold and the keyboard was nice. The only down fall (which was huge!) was the internal memory. As small as it already was, they filled it up with the usual pre-loaded apps. So you get a little over half of it to use for text history, phone call records, and any apps that can not be transferred to the SD card. You wanna get on the facebook app and still be able to accept text messages? Forget about it. The only way I could save 50 texts was by going through and continually clearing caches and force stopping apps. The phone would be a perfect one to root. That's the only way you'll get the most out of it without ripping your hair out. Samsung has done way better. If you're on TMobile, I recommend the MyTouch line. Fast, easy, and plenty of internal memory.

i have to of these phones n for under $230 this quite a awesome phone you dont find many and i agree with the nokia e6 nice phone also. it always have to be a high price phone to be rated high and to be good or excellent. when in fact alot of low costing phones are just as good or maybe better. remember its what the consumer prefer. and oyea the guy over at phone arena just ragged on this phone like its the worst thing ever gave it a 4 wow a 4 this phone is not a 4not at all . we love the samsung gravity smart for the price and it does what we need thanx samsung.

And I thought I was the only one who's suspicious about these Samsung reviews. I find it wierd they didn't put the E6 as an alternative since the price difference isn't that much, other than the OS of course. However, when you consider the type of consumer buying this phone range it's also logical to include the E6.

I can understand the ratings given for galaxy s2. No doublt about it..its the ultimate phone...
But wht abt other phones...They just trash the HTC and LG phones no matter how good they...while even the feature phones of samsung are getting good ratings.
Am I missing something here?

Why you didn't mention 2 "competitive" phones from Motorola?
Cliq 2 is the successor of the Cliq series which offers sliding qwerty keyboard.
XT316 is the new comer in the sub US$200 price range with "bar" qwerty
GSM Arena, remember we wouldn't have any mobile phone at all without Motorola. Please show some respect.
