Anonymous, 31 Jul 2011i pity Your comment... Yes, I know. Well, my comment reflects the desperation of a loyal Nokia fan. It's kind of like the feeling when you're about to get overrun by your enemy. It was just a few years ago that me and other Nokia fans were laughing and making fun of early Android devices here on GSMArena and now, the situation have changed. It is Nokia that's being laughed at and we, Nokia fans, are now like trapped animals and we're running out of excuses. We're now on the defensive and some of us are in denial. However, we do know deep in our hearts that what you guys are saying about Nokia are mostly true. For example, some of my fellow Nokia fans are in denial and got brainwashed into thinking that 680 MHz CPUs are enough while the truth is, it's not going to hurt to have a 1GHz CPU. 680 MHz doesn't pack enough power and that's the reason why Flash 10.x is not on S^3. Nokia fans were in the defensive and the "680 MHz is enough" got repeated over and over across different forums to the point that Nokia fans thought it was the truth. You repeat thing over and over and it becomes the truth. I can go on and on but I'll stop before my fellow Nokia fans comes down here to clobber me for talking too much.
Times have changed and it is now Android's time.

this devices is awesome :)
1 day 4 hour battery life for internet, gaming, sync on 3G network
also using for music and chat and multimedia :)

Ashura, 01 Aug 2011First of i have a mid range droid...A FREAKIN MID RANGE Dro... moredude, aren't you being overly sensitive? ipad 2 had much less lags and chokes, despite it being a simple os or whatever you might say about it.. android phone is awesome, but not so much for the tabs..

Second i am not treating it like my little brother it´s just that they way these comments are made it sounds like Android is the ONLY OS that laggs and chokes

2. Android can lag during standard operation. Even browsing can produce lag, the music player *can* lag... Don't even mind true multitasking without lag issues. (this is completely ridiculous because even simple midrange laptops can run music in background lagfree with a game running fullscreen - incomparably bad performance!)
3. Android may not be fully integrated in the developer teams, it is not that old for LG and people need to learn how an OS works before they can really produce quality. Take Samsungs' Touchwiz UI for example, that wasn't what it is now from the get-go.
4. Stop acting like Android is your little brother, don't take it personal m8

I think you get more value for your money by choosing the Transformer Pad. Optimus is impressive but slightly overpriced.
Gotta say I love the new Honeycomb. Finally a true competitor for iOS.

So 2d camera and display are now considered to be main disadvantages?
It does have DivX/XviD support as there are tones of players with own codecs on the market. And not sure you can't call using third party phone apps.

i will get an ipad 3, why? because I am a pilot, and the ipad 3 will be very light, and i can fly with it, and have all my charts on it.i will keep the "jepesen" in my flightbag.
thats the real purpose of a tablet.
3d and gadgets, dont need.

Tablets might be killing weak netbooks but they can't harm the Alienware M11x R3. And I can spend twice the money on the most powerful netbook instead of a tablet which can't do anything that I want from it.

Why be a fan of any company? I use android because its customisable and had a great having community. Nokia has given up on symbian and I never liked the feel of symbian. Also android market its better than the OVI store and I like apps.Sorry if I don't conform to your views.

For me,the greatest disadvantage of Optimus Pad is using Tegra2 chipset,not T.I. OMAP4.
