AnonD-26324, 15 Oct 2011 this phone is crap....
* No Flash support in browse... more
* No Flash support in browser
Actually still possibly coming.
See thread at TMO...
* Limited set of apps
Actually not if you know where to look.
Not going to point it all out to you, but quickly:
nokia.store.com
my-meego.com
n9-apps.com
appsformeego.org
Latter two are still being rolled-out.
Nokia Store still really is too.
* No office document editing
N900 eventually end-up with the best apps in that regard.
Can't see why the same won't eventually happen for the N9.
The only ph OS with the potential to do better in that area is WP.
* Non-user-replaceable battery
If you don't understand why OEM's do this, then you don't have an engineering background.
There's advantages and disadvantages...
Besides, it is user-replaceable "if" you know what you're doing. More-so than the iP4/s.
* No memory card slot
64GB in-built storage = better performance than even mSDXC cards, as they can't reach their potential, because OEMs/vendors still don't support SD3.0.
Plus they still cost a fortune for anything above 32GB.
* microSIM card slot
LOL who cares, mSIM SIM adapters = no muss no fuss!
mSIM is the way it's going, see you in 3yrs bitching about the same thing.
* No FM radio
Wrong.
There's already rough FMRX/RDS support.
Tis just a matter of time before a more slick app is in place.

AnonD-18378, 14 Oct 2011nice try gsmarena team..now understood y N9 is not released... moreFMRX/RDS is almost ready.
Pop over to TMO forums.
4" screen is going to be huge improvement over 3.9"?
I don't get your logic...

Fairly solid review....
Although based on his comments, the reviewer clearly has not read much about AD, & exactly how it works.
He also fails to mention ACL, a different (potentially better) approach.
Both solutions are extremely unlikely though...

I agree. A REAL LIFE battery test on most popular smart phones: How many hours of moderate use, heavy use, talk / net surfing time, stand-by etc...
Numbers given by manufactures aren't compareable. MAh's aren't compareable.
Has anyone done this kind of test?

The first 9 pages were positive and quite attractive towards the device. I don't know why but suddenly the 10th page became too judgmental and condemnatory. It's too early to suggest anything about the apps. There is a complete dedicated forum and a huge lot of people waiting for this device to be physically available at the retail stores. Many developers have already started working for a great number of apps. And the price must be for the uniqueness. It is one of it's kind.

nache, 19 Oct 2011Suddenly I felt N9 is already obsoleteHow so? If it works fast and smooth, it can have a 100MHz CPU running under there for all I care. It plays demanding games, will get apps, and will get firmware updates. Relax bro.

To comment on "once in a lifetime" and "dead operating system". N9 will be getting updates, actually first update is already ready and waiting for developers "blessing". Also if considering buying Nokia N9, Nokia has consistently said that the same or developed user interface will be used on different OS. Nokia has't commented what OS this is or if it supports QT etc. Anyway, seems quite sure that the N9/Harmattan will live after death of Meego in many Nokia phones...

The N9 has a turn to silence feature. When your phone rings, just turn it face down and it silences the call. Was it hard to figure out?

AnonD-397, 18 Oct 2011i know for iPhone 4, but i talk for N9, you NOT read specs ... moreYou really have no clue. The value on wikipedia was corrected since the initial 28M was false:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PowerVR#Series_5_.28SGX.29
535 does 14M polygons, the same with the 530. It only does better at fillrate, but it's a question whether it gets the full 1000M pixels since bandwith is unknown in Apple's chip. As I said, fillrate is imortant for high resolutions. That's why Apple chose the 535 rather than 530, since it planned to use it in the iPad. The only other difference is DirectX 9 suppor as I said.
Find me the 28M:

Anonymous, 17 Oct 2011Can't imagine Nokia selling many of these. Typical consumer... moreI can tell that you have not tested it with your oven hands... 1.HDMI i never used it on my N8 anyway and it has video out if you need it. 2. USB on the go/micro sd nice to have but with 64 gb i do not need it.
regarding all the Processor talk, please look at the performance when using the Phone, the OS dos not need a dual core processor.
But let us see what is included in the 3500 updates and fixes..
