Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich: First look

Google just unveiled how the next iteration of the Android mobile operating system Ice Cream Sandwich. This version 4.0 of the OS aims to unite smartphones and tablets under one software roof and promises to end fragmentation, but will it succeed?

        One underrated (in fact not-mentioned) but useful feature of Android 4.0 (ICS) is its enhanced accessibility features for the visually impaired. There's now a new and dedicated accessibility API, explore by touch, modify font sizes, accessible web browser, and so forth. Google is definitely moving in the right direction -- bringing accessibility on a par with iOS5.

            The dominant black colour, block designs, simple white-on-black icons... The UI design has the similar feel to Metro UI (windows phone) or the Sencity by _leciel. Perhaps it is just me...

              ICS looks good, no words mentioned about multicore optimization though ...

              Now, go Samsung, go ;) bring it to our Galaxy (pun intended)

                How can Android be a specific geek OS when so many people use it on a daily basis??

                Strange remark in y opinion..

                Still, can't wait to upgrade my SGS2, cause that will be the better combo with ICS than the new Nexus

                      I am disappointed......thought there is some major game changing feature coming out but it looks like all of it just "improve", lots of them can achieve by custom rom or custom UI.

                        WOW!! at least we know that what new features will come to iOS6 , apple will copy paste some features to ios6 like what they did to ios5
