For the years of experience on music industry (as an audio engineer), it gets me that these phones are over-hyped for people who are very easily swayed by the ads "music as it is to be heard". I know they are only advertised as that, but they are not what they regularly say they are.
If you haven't tried any headphones in that price category then you wouldn't have any direct comparison of unperfect those headphones is. It's just that simple. You simply don't want to face the harsh reality that those headphones are just crap.

I got this one from a local store, in retail. It's very nice with Graphics and Performance like the original Sensation. I liked the red and black color accent of the phone, but the audio quality is too shabby...I still liked the Iphone 4s audio-output - much cleaner sounding and balanced. Also I don't like the quality of the earpiece.

They have no reputation on hifi sound so they are not considered valid reviews. They are just impressions of consumers. true reviews come from forums like Headfi.com for headphones.

For a total of 20 yrs in music industry, I have a say on how rip-off this Beats line-up are...if you're looking at material there is no other technology for Beats to overprice their headphones. Leather? Aluminum case? Noise cancelling? 3 yrs warranty? There are other products who offers a lot with less price than this...take Ultrasone for instance and Denon. As i said, These headphones are just marketed for their style and not sound.tonality they are as imbalanced as crap, it means they are more bass oriented which not a hifi sound. Also you cannot compare a Senn380 to a Beats Pro. For less the price with great sound, I recommend ATH-M50, VModa M80 or Senn HD-II.

Read the reviews. Fair enough Studios and solos are good but aren't *great* for their price but Beats Pros are in the top league of headphones out there. #
They Beat my Senns HD 380s easily and the HD 380s are amazing, but the Beats Pros just delivers the music *Perfectly*.
And yes, you pay more for branding, premium materials, aluminium, leather and a 3 year warranty but at least you have top range headphones that also LOOK amazing and top of the range.

But I agree, if you don't give a fudge about the look of the headphones then Beats aren't for you. But don't bash people who like style as well as quality sound.

Had a Sensation XE for a week and hated it. I'm a huge HTC fanboy but the Sensation XE was just plain rubbish. Beats is a gimmick and sounds no better than my Senns! Also, wtf is up with the awful S-LCD on the Sensation XE? Looks rubbish in any light (washed out, low contrast, blurry) and is no match to the Super AMOLED Plus of the SG2. I sold the Sensation XE and went to the dark side and got an S2. Never looked back. Kicks the hell out of the HTC. I actually hated the Sensation XE. Didn't just dislike it, HATED it!

until now, still glad and proud that I purchased HTC Sensation XE over SGS2. A fragile, wafer-thin, wafer-light, boring user interface, awful audio quality and cheap, plasticky SGS2 is just not right for me.
Speed, audio quality, resolution, user interface, weight, solid built,toughness, features, widgets, user experience, and so much more from Sensation XE! Simply the best!

Beats should be priced at around $100 for their sound. No one in the audiophile world will hear a good deal with consumer fashion cans like this. And Beats are miles away on hifi sound.

You also have a front facing VGA camera used for video calls, unfortunately this only seems to work over WiFi where as phones like the Samsung Galaxy S2 do video calls over both WiFi and 3G

pfft...beats = crappy headphones. Had a Beats Pro for only 2 Days, then the plastic headband broke.Frankly they are very bad sounding...only more bass.

sexy phone but still lacking features... 1.5GHZ dual core isnt that much of a differnce... samsung exynos 1.2GHZ dualcore chip is the same level as snapdragons 1.5GHZ...

How do you take screenshots in this phone?
im 100% sure i have somehow took a screenshot NOT using any application and it said 'Screeshot Save' i even saw the screenshot in the gallery
Any idea's guys?

I've had this phone for a few days now...
The lock screen for the music does have some controls. It has the back, pause, forward controls under the cover image. You can flip it to remove the controls.

Androids will continue to process Flash on their browsers, thus providing full web browsing experience until HTML5 completely takes over mobile web, unlike other OS who has to wait until everything is converted to HTML5 for full web experience. By the way, Androids have been supporting HTML5 as well as Flash, so end of Flash development does not affect Android users tiny little bit.
I bet you wish you can take that comment back because it's so embarassing. LOL

I am warry about the dust problem (Dust under screen), is the dust problem in SENSATION XE same as the previous one? normal sensation?
