well samsung will be bringing out the Galaxy S2 HD soon that'll knock the socks off of these wanna bees.

Bias shootout, nice attempt trying to get away with your Apple fanboyism but ignorance strikes you down this time. At least if you mention who made the camera than it would be acceptable.

I think xperia arc s is the best in still photo. But for video i think 4s is the bset that because a high bit rate.

iPhone 4S 1080p video have the most detail.
The simple reason is that, Apple didn't do much compression to the bloody video files!!! That's mean your iPhone limited memory will be filled up pretty soon....10min cost you 1GB....that's crazy!!

This is taken from GSMArena's Xperia Arc review:

And this is taken from the shootout review:
"While the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S scored AVERAGE MARKS among the best 8MP shooters, it's still a RESPECTABLE cameraphone."
"The Sony Ericsson Arc S chose NOT TO FIGHT NOISE TOO MUCH, which left some visible noise in the photos..."
Pretty contradictory statements, don't you think?

the nokia n8 still has more pixels at a higher quality though. n8 beats all of these phones hands down

Bias reviews means sending wrong information to the public which should be punished hard and in long term will affect people trust in future reviews from this website.

The iPhone 4S camera is very good but not enough to be first in this "impartial" review...
Apparently Apple needs retrieval market after Samsung became in the first manufacturer/seller of phones in the world and of course GSMArena appears to help a little...
The question isn't what is the best camera, the question is, how much is paying Apple for its iPhone win in a review?
PS: I have an iPhone 4S, a Galaxy S II and N9, I can speak for them and in my opinion the best photos I've taken were with the GSII, second place with the N9 and last place is for my iPhone 4S.

hmm, I would say that the GS2 was better. Also I find the comment "but after 8 long (in tech terms) months on the market, it's time to cede that title." Doesn't this warrant that it should still be number 1 as it has been on the market for 8 months and it still is the best, not that just cause the iPhone is newer it should be nmber one now, kinda bias if you ask me.

theres a blog here also@gsmarena regarding with cameras/videos of ip4s s2 and niko coolpix
and s2 is superior then nxt is nikon coolpix ip4s takes 3rd..
and now they saying ip4s is superior hahaha

Which review site you saw that other smartphone beats iPhone 4S in terms of photo and video quality? Which review site you saw that iPhone is not one of the top smartphones? Almost all of the review sites in this world praises iPhone as one of topnotch smartphones overall. Just accept that fact and you'll be well.

Why would you or anyone bother with the score given by GSMArena? That score is a typical iPhone fanboy score. Anyone can gives their score to anything. N9 and SGS2 is still on top for me and iPhone 4S will come third or maybe even fourth.

Whatever...before i read this article i already know that GSMArena will choose iPhone 4S. No matter how good the other phones are, they will still chose iPhone. I don't see any superior quality in iPhone 4S that makes it better than SGS2 or N9. And as always, GSMArena will hardly put Nokia phones on their top ranking...TYPICAL...WHATEVER!!

iPhone 4s was predictable. I figured that the only reason the Galaxy S II would be second is because it's about a half year older. Likewise, the GS2's was better than the iPhone 4. However, a phone that only allows for 1080p would take a strike from most. Some of us don't have the time to upload 1080p. Others of us don't want to send big files. But, because it's Apple, it doesn't count as a strike, right? Amazing. What really surprise me is Nokia's poor showing in the matter.
