13 November 2011
Windows Phone 7.5 Mango has hit the market with much fanfare and a slew of new devices. The Samsung Focus Flash for AT&T is part of the aforementioned group. The American sibling of the Samsung Omnia W, together with its upscale partner, the Focus S...

    Wp is useless

if its wp7 its gotta be nokia 800. Samsung is justa copycat. Neither do they have original designs(iphone ripoff and they are being rightly sued) nor OS(Bada is a fail and 'inspired' from android). Without wp7 or android their phones would have been total failures. With google buying Moto Samsung should be shitting in their pants. Nokia has developed beautiful and reliable products time n again. Symbian today is old but once was the leader and with meego they have proved their provess. With wp7 they will soon be bringing innovations which sammy cant even dream abt.

        This phone is Ugly!
Samsung design is getting worse right after the Omnia 2 generation.

Omnia 2 still has the looks eventhough the back is quite plain. Another same looking phone is Samsung Jet. That phone is a beauty.
The diamond button, the wavy back plastic cover, that makes the phone looks classy compare to this phone and SGS2!

        Think Again!

AnonD-252, 13 Nov 2011The only alternative to Android is Tizen, that replaces MeeGo!I'm totally agree with you...

I'm using MeeGO and I'm a "converted" to be a MeeGO fan. LOL

But I really hope they release any time soon a Tizen update or something similar since I see more future on that side WP7 is an excellent OS but lacks of many features...runs great but I don't know...stills missing something...

WP isn't free. Manufacturers need to pay for that OS per a handset($39) which is definitely not favourable by them. However, Sammy still build some great handsets like Focus series for its fans, probably not for making some decent profits, because even it's own Bada os has more share than WP in the mobile os market.

Although Im not a fan of Nokia, but i think wp is better to be exclusive to Nokia. Wp to be a portable Xbox consoles and probably can replace the apple in 5 years. but i know that Sony Ericsson already tried this with the xperia play and failed.

Anyway, give some credits to sammy for its work here. well done. maybe next time, i will purchase focus series.

It seems very strange to wht Sammy excludes micro-sd slot which previous Samsung Focus has.
Well, at least it has 2nd carmera(FFC) unlike some other brands, but personally i want to read a review of Focus S which is the MONSTER among the WPs.

Samsung seams to offer some decent features at appropriate price. Keep it up!

Inq boss, who runs Hutchison, says that WP7 is cheaper than Android. Interestingly, he says that other Android manufacturers are also looking for alternatives.

Nokia alone has received a lot of interest for its Lumia 800 phone. I anticipate that if the Lumia 800 kicks off to a good start, the other manufacturers won't let Nokia have the cake to itself, and will focus attention themselves on WP7.

After all, it would be cheaper for them to do so, with Android actually not being 'free' anymore, since they have to pay a fee to Microsoft for every handset anyway.

Android is far better than WP7, but if you like the restricted Microsoft-world and their very expensive apps/games then this is a good choice if you install the "hacked" Nokia Maps and Nokia Drive and Nokia Music!
