The reason is that Note 1 and other same devise with usb on to go only support usb devises below its own capacity
For example note 1 16GB only recognize devices below 16 GB capacity

Many sites, like this, forget to mention the superior GPS receiver in this fantastic device. With the Samsung galaxy note you have approximately double the count of GPS satellites in view at any time, compared to other inferior devices. This is due to the Russian GPS system, which the Note can receive signals from. This also means that you can usually get a valid signal at places where other devices give up.

I've used Note 1 for almost a year now. So far, this device really satisfy me with its rich features, although there are also some dissatisaction comes from it, especially about the power of the battery and the Android ICS that sometimes got crashed.
One question that I really want to know is about the USB OTG capabilities for Note 1? I ask this since I've tried to connect my Note 1 with my external hdd with the capacity of 500gb but somehow it just be identified as a broken drive. However, when I plug a flash drive with16gb capacity, my Note 1 can detect it without problem. Does it mean that Note 1's USB OTG can only handle that much?
Is there any one has a similar experience? Please let me know if you have any info about this. Thank you.

Back may pop off ..., 08 Dec 2011... but it would not break. The phone is all plastic, gi... moreno it would not. I was just told that my had warranty void as it was dropped. Surprisingly enough, how did I not notice it???

My Galaxy Note got a biggest problem and no one can help me in macau.
The audio suddenly disappeared, but the player keeps on playing, even if somebody call theres no alert sound or ring tone. You will only know someone is calling if you feel the vibration. Can anyone help me? My email add is rhenedevera7@gmail.com

Bought one recently and i asked the shop owner to upgrade mine to ics. There's a few steps been done after finish the update including restore to factory setting and remove the battery for a minute. After that the upgrade complete. No problem detected. Ics runs smoothly and the battery consumption can last up to 2 days with medium used of internet browsing. Note with ics is simply awesome!

Ever since I upgraded both software & firmware to version 4.0.3, the battery drains extremely fast & emptied superfast which before upgrading; never happens! Is there something wrong with the software!

But i am surprised my phone is locked because of too many pattern attempts and to unlocked need me to sign in to google account how come if i don't have email account with google?

I bought a galaxy note looking for keyboard types to make the swipe to turn off and word completion off also if any other note owners know why the back cover on the phone when you take it off there a soft pad with 2 little things that looks like the phone pits power to this pad and im wondering what its for
