I purchased the HTC Vivid over this one, mainly for the slightly better screen resolution. By the way, the Galaxy S II Skyrocket is $249.99, and the Vivid $199.99 for the two year contract.

I get tired of so many Samsung models with little to differentiate them. I also dont want to carry a brick in my pocket. But the biggest issue is Android security, of which there is none or very little. It is like buying a MS Windows 3.1 computer with no anti virus. The fun has just begun.

Why is each and every variant of the Galaxy S2 being reviewed as if it's a different phone all together? It's getting really, really annoying to keep on seeing it being reviewed over and over again.

zorodroid, 18 Nov 2011I own the galaxy s2 and the iphone4 both are the best phone... moreLet's me just point out that there is no Retina display. It's just ips LCD from LG, which is great, but in technical terms OLED is superior than LCD. Free viewing angle, great contrast ratio, less power consumption and much more. and yes, this applies to the real usage as well.
Unless you have hawk eyes you wouldn't recognize the difference in pixels, but i do think that Samsung needs to increase the pixels for fans for assuring that they are using the best smartphone on the earth.

GSmarena should add a separate section on Galaxy line of phones. Samsung has created a mess of all this . I have lost count of galaxy s 2 phones .

too bad Skyrocket can not do 3G video call.
the original Galaxy SII (i9100) has 3G video call feature.

Dude, 17 Nov 2011It has poor PPI pixel density!
nah good 4 movies, not fu... moremore like crappled, no one cares about pixel density before apple comes up with it since it is the one of few advantages that apple's LG display got against Amoled.
now every says about pixels like all of them have hawk eyes.

"The Galaxy S II Skyrocket however, is clearly the best equipped for the future with its spanking new radio on board."
and ICS which is confirmed by AT&T. Nice...
