I've had this mobile for a few months and have been left a bit disappointed, the main thing being the battery life. If you are browsing the web or playing games or even listening to music you are looking at being connected to a charger twice a day, it may as well be a landline. I have recently read that the 7.5 mobiles won't be updated to 8, only a few WP8 apps will be available on 7.5 such as Nokia city lens, it kind of leaves you bitter about not waiting for the WP8 flagship, but this was never mentioned. I have noticed that it also lags with some apps, waiting for Nokia music to open can be frustrating if you want to start listening to music as a train arrives, etc. I have been living abroad for a few months and noticed that it doesn't enjoy being on a different regional network, the mobile is a British mobile (O2) and it took ages to get a South African network to make use of data services, i have never had the problem before. I was using the iPhone 3 before the lumia and it changed seamlessly to whatever country's service provider sim card i used. With that being said it is different from the other mobiles available, and has a very unique look and feel about it. I love the way it looks, but unfortunately the performance isn't all good at all.

cvik2, 25 Mar 2012i perfectly synced my contacts with outlook. You must have ... moreThere's already chepear phones than this. They should have added a camera. Camera phones are important .. they help people trade and are useful for other stuff too (for example send a pic of a wound to a doctor so they can tell whether it's infected and worth coming to the hospital for). In order of importance .. for the developing world .. phones should have .. 1) call ability 2) texting ability 3) Camera -cheap phone camera systems cost 50 cents from OEM 4) flashlight 5) GPS -GPS chip is $1

I wouldn't buy this phone for the simple reason that the battery can't be changed
It is worrying to see HTC, Sony and now Nokia following the bad example of Apple in making sure you throw away your expensive smartphone after 18/24 months because the battery has worn-out and replacement requires an uneconomic service fee
Maybe we should also start making cars that need to be scrapped when the tyres or brake pads wear out?
