Samsung I8350 Omnia W review: By the playbook

15 December 2011
When Windows Phone launched a year ago, we were excited to first see it on the Super AMOLED screen of the Samsung Omnia 7. Twelve months or so later, Samsung are sort of in power-saving mode in the joint venture with Microsoft. Their Omnia W...

Gorilla glass or not?
Only someone who has held the phone in their hand knows the answer
Focus flash review does mention gorilla glass , Omnia W review does not mention whether it's there or not... Online blogs etc say there is no gorilla glass in Omnia W (which if true would be ridiculous!)
I have been fortunate enough to have it in my Wave and know just how releived you feel when you hear something crack against the screen of your latest toy but find no damage

Personally the biggest factor for favoring Lumia is the software from Nokia. The current apps are great and Nokia has spent just over half a year on them. I bet Lumia owners will see lots of updates and new exclusive apps since Nokia its betting everything on WP.

Big phone barely with capabilities of old dumbphone - thanks to WP locked-in feature free firmware *cough* "OS".

Hopefully there'll be a lot roll in after the Lumia 800's launch - whenever that is.

Look at the back shell of Omnia W. It just looks like a old school sammy(Omnia seires). I take this over "Much hyped Nokia" anyday.

A question is when they gonna release this in Australia.
