lmfao... In what way known to mankind is the omnia a "clear winner" in the camera department ?? What I saw, using your own comparison tools, were photos that had too much colour saturation (in other words, unnatural), were over-exposed, and lacked the same level of detail as the Lumia 710 (obviously the result of noise reduction software).
As for the screen, who gives a crap about pixel density and viewing angles ? show us how they perform in direct sunlight

Battery life(based on GSMArena review) blows everything away. Omnia W lasts more than twice of Lumia 710. It's shame of Nokia since Nokia fans claim that Nokia is strong at the battery life.
Anyway, good review done by GSMArena.

So happy to see this. Got the Omnia W a month ago and completely enjoying it. I was waiting for a Nokia WP since MS and Nokia patnership but when I saw the 710 I was dissapointed as I wanted to buy a mid-range device. I ended up buying the Omnia W and now recommending it to everybody.

How was this a close call at all, the lumia is destroyed in everything except video recording. Gsmarena seem to ignore in their conclusion that the omnia has a way better battery life, much better audio quality, better screen, its faster in 2/3 benchmarks, its better built and it takes better photos (which is far more important than video recording IMO), its also made of higher quality materials and is slimmer and lighter.
Doesnt look like much of a close call to me, maybe to some blind readers it does.
Please change the conclusion because in no way are these smartphones equally matched.

Close call, seriously? Omnia W owns it in almost every single benchmark and is better all around and you call it a close call? Please, I understand that people claim that you're biased towards Samsung but clearly Lumia 710 gets crushed all around. Do you own things and give your own educated opinions ignoring fanboys. Just write that one phone is clearly better.

better product by samsung. gsmarena, please give a comparision for lumia 800 vs omnia. as far i know the only difference is 8 mp to 5 mp. rest all specifications are almost identical. and omnia is priced almost half. comoare the specs in gsmarena guys

Samsung Omnia W smoke nokia Aluminium 710 our of water without a break of sweat... Video capture is one of the last thin in mobile functions....
So that isn't a major setback....

so nokia lost again. it has become a habit probably, cant get the WP upto the competition. lost in browsing excellence, lost in battery excellence, lost in video playback. Better luck next time nokia. your competitors are ahead of you.
