GS3 -Hardware seems good enough but design is disappointed just like Samsung Galaxy Y Duos they added only LED flash there's something wrong with the designer doesn't fit with hardware even though it's pre-installed with the latest OS (Ice Cream Sandwich) it looks cheap:(

Does anyone else wonder where's the thin bezel they were talking about? I really can't see it. 4.8" screen would be fantastic if they managed to make the phone as wide as Galaxy S II. This way, it is too wide and with no UI optimizations (look at the large keypad) impossible to use one-handed. Don't know about you, but I don't always have both hands free to use the phone. Screen? Large, great resolution, PenTile. PenTile??? No upgrade on Nexus? I just hope it is not as dim. 4-column menu on a 4.8" screen? Why? We had it on 3.7" 800x480 screens and it was fine. Wasn't it about time to upgrade?
I like to think of myself as a sensible user. I don't ask for 2GB of RAM, 16MP camera, quad core graphics and so on, but I need a functional smartphone. For me, cons outweight pros so I'll stick to my S II until Samsung makes something better suited to my needs.
Disappointed. Period.

Do you call these features innovation?? I have face detection on my N9, too!! That's not innovation! N9 is innovative with a great new OS and swipe gestures!

AnonD-42087, 03 May 2012ugly design 4.8 is too big same 8 MP A Big let Down S... moreAgree... Everytime that Samsung do not copy Apple design they made ugly devices... Meanwhile, Sony has very beautiful devices that not 'iPhone inspired': Arc series, Xperia Play, Xperia minis...

WOW! Samsung trying to rip people off with this second hand S2. your better off buying S2 as it will be cheaper or wait for other. Very ashamed of Samsung how they can treat us like this as if we are second hand.

I think I was one of the few people over the last few weeks that kept my head. Everybody wants these amazing processers just to say that they have them. I believe Samsung has included some nice features and the plus is a nice sized battery. That hopefully will see me through the day. If this spec war in Android is ended I am glad that maybe it was Samsung that did it. And now we can get unto bringing amazing and useful features.
If know one likes wait for the New iPhone orWP8. Now where do I recycle my Lumia 800

I'm sure Samsung has disappointed many others like me… I was to come for so long to upgrade my phone from s2 to s3 and that is what is pinching me… anticipated so much from Samsung for their next flagship and this is a total disillusionment… I’d now rather switch to HTC X One… much better in terms of specs… I can’t believe that after waiting for so long, this is what Samsung could give… My SII looks better than this one now… After being a Samsung Brand Loyalist for more than 5 years, I think I should now reconsider while choosing a Samsung mobile again… I’m definitely going to either stick with SII or will move to HTC X one… Why Samsung Why? You let down so many fans of yours…

wow! sam impressed me at last! i was really tired all those black rectangles with capacitive keys on the either side of the home button... majorities believe that greater ram and chipsets make a phone better(they do... but only to an extent in my opinion) but i believe its the features that do make any phone stand out... lyk smart-stay or that 'wake up' thingy ;) still worried if its gonna fit in my pocket or not btw...

4.8 is too big

A Big let Down
S... moreI am sorry, i watched the presentation but couldn't help feeling cheated.
The anticipation was high but it turned out to be average.
Design is about taste and eventhough it's not ugly it does look like half a dozen HTC phones we have seen last year.
Put it on any desk tomorrow and nobody will notice it.
Same with the camera, very average in may2012, and the same software gimmicks we already have seen from HTC.
All these special features they keep raving about are plain software and could be done on any phone using apps. And we all know that all that voice activated crap is never flawless.
The screen is also average for this day and age, also pentile so no where near the quality the competition now sells.
I am sorry folks, nice try, nice & expensive presentation but they fail to deliver something new, innovative and something that puts the competition light years behind.

Dissapointing...
It is a great Android, no question about it, however it doesn't bring anything others (HTC One X) do not have.
And this design coupled with a chip plastic housing...
I ecpected some technological miracle, Samsung delivered just another top droid...

I can't help but feel a little underwhelmed, where is the:
1. Super Amoled Plus HD??
2. Mali-T604 gpu?
3. 2GB Ram?
These features would have really made the S3 something special, but what we are getting feels more like a slightly upgraded (i.e. quad-core) Galaxy Nexus.
I don't boubt it will be very good, it improves on most of what the S2 offered, but hasn't really taken the next big step.
Oh and I think the design is a bit on the average side and the 4.8 inch screen a touch to big. Can you imagine a 4.3 inch Super Amoled plus HD would have been like? it would have been industry leading!
An impressive device sure, but not as impressive as i'd hoped.
