It is clear that the sIII wins in almost all aspects... but in image quality i am still not sure.. i mean look at them closely and u'll find that they have been taken under different conditions. The trees, the sunlight and its angle are all different. Hence they are incomparable...and in low light the onex beats the s3..

When developers actually start making use of dual/quad cores, then you can boast.
At the moment, owning a HTC One X or SGS3 is like owning a Ferrari and living in the middle of London.

What is the problem with manufacturers today? Forcing all anything but the camera/flash and audio output power/quality are standing in place or go to the worse. They ignore the basic staff on phone. Give us better camera and flash! Better audio output! Who give a shit about 4 cores 12 cores or 999 cores! I want to see better and hear better! We are humans not Computers!

Anonymous, 13 May 2012my gsii can't hold a candle to my one x. the one x is just ... morehox is beauty without Brains , and u all know why i am saying that This review was like compairing midrange phone (hox)to high range phone (sgs3) ,hox had to take defeat, i am sure htc will try harder and learn something from samsung and launch beauty with brains with there next high range flagship phone but anyways this compitition gives us more features and goes in benifit of actual buyers......

he was almost embarrassed to admit that my was on par with his new quadcore phone..
(should have challenge him to a dropt test from a meter height or two..)..

AnonD-36731, 12 May 2012There are one third less pixels. How can you compare Brows... moreWrong, there are no 1/3 pixels less, sorry, you are wrong. It's the same number of pixels with 2 pixels sharing one sub-pixel. Theat's 1/6 sub-pixel less. There are full 720 pixels or sub-pixels on the "height" and 1200 pixels or (1200*5/6*3=3000) sub-pixels on the "width". The x has 720 pixels/sub-pixels on the "height" and 1200 pixels /3600 sub-pixels on the "width". So you lose 600 sub-pixels, and you might say that you lose 200 pixels on the "width" with the SGS. Total number of "full pixels" is 720*1200=864000 for One X and 720*1000=720000 for SGS. 864000-720000=144.000 pixels difference. 144000/864000=0,1666666 that's 1/6. Do you think you can notice the difference of 1/6 on a pixel at that size. I don't think so.

Boohoo! i don't want it cos it's all plastic...please then don't buy it!! And you should remember that if the phone is NFC compatible, no other material is signal friendlier than durable plastic(of course there's ceramics but lets see how that works out without chipping and scraping

John, 13 May 2012Fragile?? are you kidding me? plastic is most durable mater... moreMr Troll, I didn't talk about Samsung in particular ... even tough, I saw more(by a large margin) Galaxy SII phones sitting in cases(some are really ugly) than Sensations.
If we need to talk, the main drawback of HTC Sensation/ Titan/ Sensation XL is not the choice of premium materials but that akward solution to pop out the screen from entire case.
"Plastic is the most durable material you can get for a phone" Depends on plastic, because there isn't only one type of plastic. Most Galaxy SII users could also prowe they have dents in Galaxy SII frame(painted like metal)if they had the poor inspiration to drop it.

talkingboutugly, 13 May 2012blah blah blah the in denial htc owners whose pride just go... moreWhile it sucks that there are lemons, you should be objective. Go to any Samsung phone forum on xda - you'll find plenty of fault complaints, especially straight after launch.

blah blah blah the in denial htc owners whose pride just got stepped upon when they found out they would have gotten their money's worth had they chosen to wait are now on the attack and could only do so by saying the same thing over and over again and that is ugly design and pentile. lols they only revolve on that two.is that all? they ignore the rest because they know samsung pwns their htc.
just go to the xda-forums for htc one and you'll see problems with wifi, screen flexing, overheating, low battery life, gps not locking when moving, screen gets hot with little use,bad signal strength, battery drain,sd card alwasy losing space, yellow spots on screen, screen flicker that amazon decided to issue a statement telling its customers not to buy it unless HTC issues a statement regarding that problem.
the list goes on and on.
if you don't wanna believe me visit these pages and see the long lists of complaints by htc one x,v,s owners

So in short terms, the ONE X looks better, the GS3 goes better. Honestly there are no games out that will push the SGS2, let alone the ONE X, and the shape of the phone will never change.
I think also the battery life, its great the samsung does so well, but realistically, you will be charging it every day - for both phones. Off the charger in the morning - back on at night. So no ground breaking stuff here.
Also, I think the HTC UI is just beautiful.. with phones this powerful there is no need to worry about ram and slow downs etc.. Touchwiz on the other hand - not pretty just like the outside of the phone.
As for the screen being better, I cant agree, the HTC ONE X screen is the most beautiful screen I have ever seen, and I thought the NEXUS and SGS2 screen could not compare. But thats ok everyone has there opinion.
I can see the lure of having the fastest phone, but Id rather the better looking, better UI and better built phone, and happily trade that for a few quadrant points.
Just like GSMarena said, each to their own.

At least you might get better performance by updates, rooting or installing a custom rom. But there's no going back with ugly design, you could put a cover, but inside its still ugly

Ha ha ha ha....
My S2 wins over htc one X..
No need to compare S3 to htc one X...
The S3 is "the father" of smartphone...
