For all Sammy users, i would like to tell you that samsung already cheated with you..
wanna know how, take this:
Samsung explained why they used super amoled HD with pentile in s3 because they say blue subpixels degrain faster in super amoled +(used in s2) due to which they opted for pentile matrix ....hahahaha....think again
you have been trolled by samsung itself:P

Anonymous, 12 May 2012Well, That's why these phones have led flashes, right? I th... moreLED flash is actually very low power. It does not even compare with indoor lighting on overcast day... Also, flash photos are not always desirable, from-the-front lighting is quite unnatural in most cases.

Samsung with glossy plactic covers looks like a toy next to One X.
Ignore Samsung. Dont buy Samsung crappy phones anymore. Ask for quality not plastic in high-end segment!

On any popular camera review site, there's now a good number of tests for low light and cameras like the S100 are praised because few point and shoot cameras can do low light well. Since difference in daylight shots are generally minimal on prints, wide aperture is now a selling point. It seems this thought process hasn't migrated to most phone reviews yet.

on camera
sgs3 wins on good lighting condition and no! we don't even need to zoom the pictures to clearly see which one takes the better pictures.
htconex wins on low light conditions, there's no denying that and even the samsung fans as you call them admit it.
but to say htconex wins on video? really? as in really?
all you have to do is scroll down to the bottom of this link i'm sharing and you'll see sgs3's video look lively while the htconex's video looked pale bland dead.

AnonD-49259, 12 May 2012lol @ all the htc fans who are in denial.
making up excuse... moreI think people just have different priorities. For someone, to enjoy the phone it must have pleasing look and handle good.
For someone else, phone must have best benchmarks, etc.
So this comes to different opinion "which one is best", when you not just making a sum of different points, but a _weighted_ sum (weighted by people's preferences).

AnonD-252, 12 May 2012The One X camera was only better at taking pictures in low ... moreThe problem is that the GS3 only had a slight advantage in daylight, as expected. You literally have to zoom in 100% to find differences, which is why I don't get why GSMArena focused so much on it.
On the other hand, the HOX absolutely KILLS the GS3 in low light because of its wide aperture. There is really no comparison when you compare the shots in low light. The GS3 does relatively terrible because of its narrow aperture.
This is why I'm giving at head shake at not only the reviewers but the others here who think the GS3 won in video/camera. Do you guys really think minor differences in daylight shots/video are more important than massive differences in low light? In real life, how many people are doing 100% zooms on pictures to compare how each camera captures the uneven paint on buildings?

The uglier casing is the true winner for me. Ugly casing but with better specs...
I might regret choosing the very good looking casing phone here but to be fair, still a good phone.
