if de one X had bigger battery i wouldnt have been waiting for S3. Whats these companies playing at? some1 take a risk, ignore the quadcore, bring an android tht lasts a week on hardcore use without charging and see how tht sells. Whats de point if a phone has all these great features if it cant last long enough for u to use them. and secondly IF I CANT USE MY PHONE WITH ONE HAND, ITS PROBABLY TOO BIG???

I loved this conclusion: "The HTC One X: this is what a droid flagship should look like. The Samsung Galaxy S III: that's what a droid flagship should perform like." Having said dat I'l go for S3 Anyday. Just wanna watch for any over heating issues with S3.

Just to add that Polycarbonate IS plastic, so comparing it against plastic is like comparing yourself with your own image in the mirror.

dear gsmarena,
The Tegra3 CPU is not the lower power processor compared to Exynos4012 as you tried to imply:
First, all the 4cores of the new Exynos is built on LowPower(LP) pocess while in Tegra3 only the companion core is LP so its 4 power cores have high leakage.
Secondly, the new Exynos cores are Asyncronous meaning each cores can run altogether at different clock speeds depending on workload while in Tegra3, though it can turn them ON/OFF individually, all active cores must run on the same clock.
Lastly, Exynos is 32nm while Tegra is 45nm process.
regards.

its quite easy to read between the line and see that GSMA favour the SGSIII over the 1X without saying so.
It keeps both camps happy with its ambiguity.
I favour the SGSIII.
With is removable battery and storage thats the winner.
why HTC dont do this i dunno.
good try HTC but NO CIGAR !!

S3 is clearly the winner, "slight edge in processing" "better screen" "camera and audio quality tests win a few more points for the Samsung I9300 Galaxy S III, and so do the better battery life and expandable storage" "we really loved the Direct Call and Smart Stay features" and the voice assistant is atleast as good for a few laughs as Siri!
I do not think that One X is so very good looking with the "belly-button" camera on the back!

why the hell there is no winner when u say x vs y?
gsmarena if u cant pick a winner then dont write vs just write x compared with y...

Amoled is the best outdoor performer, but is not Amoled screens prone to damage by prolong UV light exposure so how can it be the best outdoor if it get most damage in the outdoor-sun?

HTC One X is an awesome phone. Sense UI is an amazing experience. S3 will run on the fuel of s2 which no doubt is an amazing phone. S3 does not have the look of a flag ship device.

Beats Audio is just an equalizer, but S3 have a Wolfson DAC with almost perfect sound-quality with Voodoo Sound!
But Pentile have one third less subpixels, 612 vs. 936, and I fear Amoled can have a "burn-in" problem!

In this comparison, I would give it:
5/5 for Samsung Galaxy S III
4/5 for HTC One X (no sd card and poor battery the biggest negatives)
Of course if it was a seperate test, the HTC would get 4.5/5.
Either way, both these phones completely thump the little kids phone - the iPhone 4S, which wasn't hard considering their predecessors did too.
Anyway, I am not too jealous, as my Galaxy Note has just been updated to ICS and does not suffer from any deficiencies, except in terms of being a dual core (the fastest in the world though) instead of a quad core. It is super fast already, so no worries there.
Oh yeah, thanks Gsmarena for the awesome review!

AnonD-53686, 12 May 2012Pricing will be the factor to consider between this 2...One... moreLess performance on the One X? You confuse benchmarks (that mean nothing) with real life performance. Both phones are extremely fast with very minimal real life differences.
