11 May 2012
There's no battle to end all battles in this industry but there's no point either trying to reason with two deadly droids, armed with the latest technology. We have two of the season's hottest smartphones in combat mode and Android supremacy is...

Iphone = Console (PS3/XBOX360), all with the same hardware.

Android = PC (Intel i7/Extremely powerful graphic), Fully Customizable, Power House.

Clearly PC are the winners, so is android.

even if one x and s3 join force..they will be crush by iphone 5.. android will never be better than Apple..Apple only sell one model but sell same as all htc model and samsung model.. Apple supreme in quality and look expensive not like android phone that use cheap recycle plastic... Iphone is still better deal and value for money.. high resale value also..

Anonymous, 03 Jul 2012Which phone will you buy? The Galaxy SIII or The HTC One X?... moreWell that's flawed. Why didnt they go for the 16mp? Cause they didnt. Why didnt they go for the higher capacity battery? Because thy didnt want it to be bulky? Are you joking? There are using a lithium polymer 1800mah battery which should be extremely tiny in comparison to the lithium ion batteries. On top of that the gs3 with fatter bigger battery is still thinner as well. So hox smaller battery and smaller capacity and gs3 with bigger battery and bigger capacty=thinner. Htc just cant do it. thats all

Which phone will you buy? The Galaxy SIII or The HTC One X?

On one hand you have with the SIII:
                          1. Bigger screen - 4.8" over 4.7"
                          2. Higher display contrast and better sunlight legibility
                          3. More storage options - 16/32/64GB + microSD over non-expandable 32GB
                          4. S Voice natural language commands and dictation
                          5. S Beam for easy and fast file transfers
                          6. User-accessible 2100mAh battery over non-removable 1800mAh battery

                          With the HTC One X
                          1. Impressive polycarbonate unibody
                          2. Brighter IPS LCD2 screen with a full set of subpixels
                          3. Beats Audio

You wont be wrong in thinking that the Galaxy SIII has a slight edge over the HTC One X? But which phone will you eventually purchase?

It's an easy one? - The HTC One x (Hands down)
Even though the features on this phone are second best. yet the feeling of this phone in your hand is out of this world.
The Build quality is very high.
This is a stunningly beautiful phone- Even though it's got a 4.7" screen. the phone doesn't feel out of place in your hand (unlike the Galaxy SIII) - HTC has done a marevlous job?

You would wonder why HTC wouldn't go for the 16Mega Pixel (Available on HTC Titan II) or the 2100mAH battery - The answer is simple, HTC didn't want the phone to look bulky. This is an A-listers phone - One you could carry in your hand and not look foolish?

                          Which one would you buy?

Both displays are very good on both phones. Each has their places where they are a touch better than the other but to say either suck in any form obviously means you have neither used/owned either phone. Also I wonder why they are only getting 47.5 fps on NenaMark2 with the One-X? Mine is stock and I usually see around 55.2 give or take a few points.

I have galaxy s2 one..very nice smartphone even compared to iphone 4.as per my knowledge Samsung is one of the most innovative company in the world now. ~ $40 billion into R&D (2012) is a huge investment. Samsung has just claimed a breakthrough in graphene development, by creating a semiconductor from the material...Galaxy S III has a less then beautiful design but it does have better benchmark tests(even though it has fewer "hertz"), it a has a 2100 removable battery which lasts more than the one X, micro SD, so in total you can have 128GB on your phone, a plastic body which is good when you drop it. THe dongle from HTC One X can only stream at 720p on a tv unlike the samsung's one that can stream at 1080p.

prakesh69, 25 Jun 2012AMOLED suck..eat battery..iphone is perfect size..samsung s... moreSome simple facts to sober you up seeing you're so high on Apple iKool-Aid.

                                        1) AMOLED screens are actually more power efficient under specific circumstances, for instance displaying black backgrounds, as the pixel displaying black can actually switch off. The biggest difference between AMOLED and standard LCD is the need for a backlight. OLEDs are light-generating and hence do not require a backlight, unlike LCDs like those on the OneX or the iPhone.

This explains why AMOLEDs do well when watching video and when you utilize options to invert the colours when viewing webpages. Black Google was created to target AMOLED users, as the background is predominently black.

                                        2) Size is something completely subjective. There are those who find the iphone is the perfect size, and then there are those who find that having bigger viewing real-estate is important. In fact, the trend for the smartphone market has been bigger and brighter screens within slim bodies. No prizes for guessing why the upcoming iPhone5 is coming with a screen that is larger than the "oh-so-boring and puny" 3.5 inches.

                                        3) iPhone can be used as a status symbol no doubt. I don't question the simplicity and minimalistic beauty of the iphone, which is mirrored in so many other modern smartphones today.

But buying a phone to use as a status symbol is just self-delusion. At the end of the day, a smartphone is a smartphone. It does not make you any superior to the other millions of people around the world who own the same phone as you do or can afford the same phone as you do but choose not to because they bought another phone they felt was better.

At the end of the day, how much of a "status symbol" can it be when almost every other person in the street is using the same thing?
