I went in to the shop to try this one out. In my opinion it is to big for a phone, you can´t use one hand to send messeges walking down the street and it is to big for your pocket. And I don´t use ha handbag.
Then I compared the speed of the startscreens with a swiping finger. It felt kinde of slow. They had an NOKIA Lumia 800 beside this one. I really got surprised when the new Samsung Galaxy S3 got snatched buy the old NOKIA Lumia 800.
I also didn´t like the plastic feeling in this phone, I mean why have a plasic upstanding bottom on it? It´s not a phone I would use.

Nothing wrong with the cover of the phone. I am using the phone, the finish is too good. looks real classy..guys wake up.....dont get stuck to old iphone technology

User, 27 Jun 2012Really? On advertisements it look bad enough, looking at th... moreEveryone surround me said this design is damn solid. Include two of my friends said how ugly in paper, but he is the 1st person buy it as he can't stand on how beauty actual there are.
It is far far beauty than S2, I own S2 previously, the design for me is OK but not outstanding.
You said it ugly is pure personal taste issue.
Full of metal not means it is nice and not means is high quality.
Plastic does not means it is cheap.
Back design is simple, but not ugly, probably S2 back design much nicer, but this S3 is still OK. It does not look cheap and low end.
The finish in S3 is solid, stylist and elegant. :)
Also it is well design and nice in hand. (This is somewhat can't archive in S2).

The US version doesn't have the four screen-color presets that the review promised (color intensity ranging from subdued to dynamic).. Just like the s2, they removed this feature from the US versions!
Also, check network options.. You can't change them out of auto mode to lock into 2g or 3g and widgets from the market don't work for this either. You have to enter a 12digit dial code to get access to these usually common settings!
They also removed the old brightness adjusted option via sliding along the notification bar.. All previous Samsung droids had this, and it was awesome.

The front isn't as bad as I thought since the nice screen would distract you from the disastrous front design, the back is simply an eye-sore.
It looks so cheap it's suitable for a low-end device, there isn't anything good in the design. You must be fooling yourself regarding the design, or you've bought one that you're obliged to defend it.

The design is extremely beauty, when I first seen on paper, I also feel... err... the design is not so nice.
But once you seen the real device, your opinion on it will change. It is well design, beauty and elegant + comfortable feel on hand. :)

Bigest problem so far with AT&T version is that it missing LANGUAGES.
I mean they are there but some how not visible and ou can't use them.
For example activate Russian for qwerty keyboad

Because I still think that a customized A15 based architecture can fit into the A15 group. I don't see any reason to call the S4 SoCs any different just beacues the custom Krait arch.

Do you need a device to compute 2+2? Unless you're a moron.
My point is, if you want a simple calculation, just use the right tool or app which is the calculator.
