All Nokia have done is shoe-horn a massive sensor into an outdated device and add some oversampling. If they had used some new sort of liquid lens I would have been impressed. Come on Nokia. Whats next, the Pure Shave 10-2-9 for when you're late for work?

There is another issue with the photo gallery of 808, its only in portrait mode, no landscape view

I have never read this much long review of any phone in my life. It's all because of the 808 hype. Amazing review by GSMArena..hats off to them. At the end of the review I actually felt like a movie with beautiful touching end lol. I wasn't maintaining any interest in Nokia phones since many years but this phone really seized my attention. I don't know but somehow I really hate apple iphone and by 808, Nokia slapped them really hard saying 'What if we are old, we are the best and back with a bang'. Kudos!
Definitely looking forward to get 808 asap. :D

one word. INNOVATION.
best camera phone period. being an owner of the Samsung galaxy s3(my first android phone) its amusing to read the comments from other Samsung owners. Why so defensive? is it because the two devices cost about the same and now you see the virtue of pureview? you already bought your phone. deal with it. don't trash it because of nonsense. read the review. it'll blow your mind. I'm pretty sure it was written by an android user.

Such a good camera phone. I have a galaxy tablet and for all the thousands of apps I hardly need or use any other than calendar and browser. This phone has so many hardware features that without all the apps it still comes up trumps. Keen!!

B... morehow can it be slim when its camera is bigger than anything else on terra in mobile world? how can you compare samsung toys with this beast? nokia 808 have two separate cpu: one for mobile and one for video like solid state home dvd recorders, not one crappy dualcore or quadcore cpu. this is not a mobile phone, it is a photocamera and a movie camera with gsm option. like iphone is an ipod with gsm option. go and burn your samsung, we are talking here about hard things,real quality,not stupid toys

If this phone was slim and light, I would be impressed.
But it's not. I could gaffa tape a compact to the back of my S2 and it would still be more appealing than this. Now, where's that tape?

why cant nokia understand that simply clear black and amoled wont help them for long...n releasing same os with diffrent name wont either....nokia s***** nw

Why only 38 mpix?I don't know if it was in pureview but if you change the scale that can be found below the original image, it has an option to rescale in 12, 8, 5, and 3mp... And take note when you change that you'll be blown away by the result it's the best in all the smartphone available in that option and competing with canon 5d ii...

I so so desperately want Nokia to beat the leaving hell out of Samsung....come on Nokia...Am not in hurry and willing to give Nokia one or one and a half year....Let there be Lumia pureview W8..

Awesome review. Was an absolute pleasure reading it. Although I've still got the N8, I will probably go for Note 2 in October as my next phone.
