22 June 2012
The Nokia 808 PureView is the best cameraphone ever made. End of story. Now, how do you proceed from there? And why is this particular phone so hard to write about? How about because a picture is worth a thousand words and we just had a...

I must say, I found this review rather touching. It was both emotional while remaining professional, and I admire the way gsmarena delivered it.

OMG.. really great or should I say perfect review..
all other sited should see how you write a review..
thank you for being realistic and not bashing nokia like mobile-review and engadget.

i like that you say and all the good things and all the bad things.. thats the way things should be..
pros and cons in every review.
              great job.

great read before going to sleep :)
and will buy 808 becouse it will be one of those device that was innovative(not like putting 4 cores instead od 2).
now-i really like to read those comments like
-for that money go buy dslr and a phone.

-WHY because i can carry all that in a single phone.
ok its not a dslr phone but it covers atleast 75,80% of situations you can find yourself in. am i write?
its not like you carry a dslr camery all day everyday(except if you are a proffecional photographer)

people-buy what you like and what you want.
dont judge. i need a good camera, a few editing apps and a facebook app. nothing more.. thats why a need a camera and not android or ios apps.
              good night everybody :)))

yeah yeah a lot of hope still the same old belle that the old n8 has(i m using)..nothing changed much in so called belle Fp1..had a lot of hopes on nokia...but now hopes are fading..hw stupid of such destroying such a powerful Symbian OS...
they should at least consider following things for there future updates...
                        >>should give better facebook integration not via cheap looking SOCIAL crap.
                        >>integrate hotspot tethering
                        >>better music player library
                        >>capability to create custom equalizer(that even old s60v5 has..feels like crap without this feature)..forced to buy a cheap crap looking equallizer app from store..it s*****.
                        >>how about capability of better new lock screen(many to chose from)
                        >>more phone memory(nokia really screwed n8 for that and they still want to install every f****** update recently office mobile to phone memory....)

                          Thanks for the great review.

Some words for the application store topic:
I have both an android phone and an N8. I have spent a lot of time and tried ca. 50 apps on android to reach the overall functionality what the N8 has out-of-the box. Now, the android phone is used only by my children to play. As a really SMART phone, the nokia/symbian Belle OS is light years forward to android.

Because i am not "obsessed with software and apps" this phone will replace my E7 rather than any other phone available today.
The screen is just right for me being 4" and an amoled that makes things pop out at me even in sunlight.
I will also get back an FM transmitter, missed that with the E7 and of course the camera will be a slight upgrade.
well played nokia,if this is the last in a generation you sure are going out in style.

Hands down the best camera phone today but with an aging OS and with no future in app develepment, this will be a hard sell to all android and IOS fans. If the reason you're buying a phone is to shoot pics and videos, then this may be the phone for you.
