Anonymous, 04 Oct 2012"but the most interesting one is called Music square -... moreWe all seem to remember Steve Jobs shamelessly saying they have "stolen" the best ideas to come up with the iPhone. Yes, concepts from Windows Mobile, the concept of the touch screen, icons and integrations of digital organizers with phone functions. Even the concept of video playback capabillities was taken from Motorola. HTC is trying to replicate the success the Galaxy Note. Nokia is getting back in the game with the smooth animation interface speed of the iPhone. Motorola and Sony are trying to replicate the fixed battery and non-card slots concept of the iPhone.
In fact, every portable gadgets are based on the discoveries, innovations and inventions of the type writer, electricity, microprocessor, basic computer language, light bulb, television, telephone, pager, diary planner, and so on.
So, why are you complaininng?!

Why are there so many negative comments about the S-Pen? People who don't like it don't need to use it. The large screen means the Note 2 is one of the best touch screens even idf the S-Pen is never used.
However for people with an open mind, the S-Pen is a great addition. As someone who already has 2 Wacom devices- a Lenovo Tablet PC and a Wacom Intuous Tablet, I have been waiting for a phone with a well implemented Wacom stylus. This is invaluable to me in business. Everyday I have to mark up / annotate several PDFs. Whilst I will still mainly use my Tablet PC, being able to annotate documents while on the move using the Note 2 is a huge benefit to me and my business.

Will we ever see the battery test? I want to see how much improvement they've made this time because the first Note was just terrible.

I have had the note for 10 months after migrating from iphones and the SGS2.
I could never imagine going back to a small screen device.... the SGS3 feels small and the iphone 5 is just pathetic.
The Note 2 will be the best device (for me anyway) of the next 12 months.

AnonD-24171, 04 Oct 2012Tell me what Lumia has over Note II or S3? 1-Note II > ... moreWhats your point man. Who cares about the marginal hardware differences. What about the software differences. I have a Note 1 and also a BB9900 for day usage. I travel a lot so want better business product integration and better personal management tools than what Android has to offer. So what with games and camera. I will wait to see what WP8 has to offer. Samsung will eventually do a Note II WP8 device if WP8 is as good as expected. And yes I will always have a Blackberry for emailing and messaging. Games, hell man go an get a life. And of course Samsung is the best at what they do.

The best review I've ever read, GSMArena. It covers all the aspects I would have asked for. Keep it that way!
One small thing is you could add is that Galaxy Note II locates itself based not only on GPS, but also GLONASS.

Actually We got stock now of the Phone at my store i work at. and its slightly cheaper cash wise than the S3. im happy with the S3 for now to be honest I wanted the note but it took too long to get here for something slightly more powerfull than the S3 yes the pen feature etc would of be cool but I think i wouldnt of used that anyway. 4.8 inch is big enough 5.5 would of been sweet but mmm the way I hold a phone I donno.

Dee, 04 Oct 2012You're confusing between Stylus and S-pen! do some research... moreTo be precise, S-Pen works only for Note Devices not for other Capacitive Screens. More Accurately, the device should be Wacom Digitizer 'enabled' to recognize the S-Pen. It has no relation to the old stylus , as you rightly said a mere chopstick.

android any day is the best because of freedom open os that can be rooted for better firmware not like lumia 610 which won't have better than limited wp7! so no bluetooth transfare is coming, and also jellybean is smoother with a longer battery life ! it has 60fps ui animations, screen video record and quality games and apps, hen ios and then 3rd grade windows!!!

Please stop fighting about which one has better screen. Both note and 920 have their advantages and both are "future screens".
And lets see what this Note II is. It's a fusion of phone and tablet, those big measures are the prize of it. Exactly the same as it is with Nokia 808. Phone and camera combined, there is the thickness to complain about. This kind of things aren't ment for everyone. If you use phone to regular calling, sms, web, etc. propably this is not the best choice because of its measures. But if you are willing to carry this kind of slate with you to get some extra functionality, you can have it. Again, same with 808's camera bulk, it's the cost of having proper camera and phone is same pacage.
What I'm trying to point out is that it doesn't harm any one of you if there is such devices out there. It's just good that there is something for somebody who makes the best use of stylus and almost-tablet-screen.
By the way, there's no way I'm putting that kind of device into my pocket. Waiting for Jolla ;)
