Do you know how slow a 1.3ghz arm11 is? Nokia N900 is faster with its old 600mhz cortex A8. And display of 640x360 now when midrange devices have qHD, and 720p is the next midrange resolution. These pathetic numbers are the specs of 808 and they are already maxed out. Symbian have to die, that's a 100% fact. The question is not about symbians death but what OS should replace it.

Nokia can't regain its previous No1 position all alone with Windows and S40!!!!!!
It should adopt Symbian again. It should release phones with higher Ram and Rom. It should publicize Symbian Os as they are publicizing Windows now. I have been using Symbian since 2004. But I haven't seen Nokia giving any publicity to Symbian Os. The position of Symbian became more pathetic after the entry of Elope, whose only concern is the growth of Microsoft! Nokia think again again! What I told here is 100% fact!!!!!!!!

I can add a gmail account in windows phone, i can go to google.com on browser and mobile version of youtube works just fantastic also i got metrotube app which is awesome and i got nokia drive and nokia maps .... who cares about google apps.

Firstl... moreThere are some very good articles on allaboutsymbian.com I suggest you read to get a better perspective on the 808. They cover current limitations of the new windows phone vs. 808 for example. There is alot more to the 808 than just the camera. It's is the best symbian device ever made and runs very smooth and stable. The UI is very good an no lag. The 808 has many connectivity options that are not included in WP8, some that will never be! It's main weakness is a lack of apps and a mediocre social client. Put this to bed, as far as camera and recording, it can't be touched. Sound is amazing, losses zooming, stunning. There are plenty of examples on the web, please check them out. I have an 808, my wife has a 920 by the way. 808 is way more customizable and configurable. 920 is more restricted though very smooth and easy to use. It just depends on what you do with your phone and what's most important to you.

Brilliant argument "no need to pay hundreds of $$$ for nokia if you can just buy new gloves :D" you are basically saying just buy another phone, which will be expensive and plus get a pair of special gloves(extra cash), pink ones:). Pure ignorance...

This STUPID pseudoargument about:

makes me just LOL :)
Because this is nothing revolutionary. Need to use your phone with gloves? Just buy proper one! You can find special gloves usable with capacitive touchscreen, starting from 7$!!!
So, no need to pay hundreds of $$$ for nokia if you can just buy new gloves :D

My Samsung Note was a pain after 1year. Battery life reduced drastically, glitches were a regular thing. It was actually thrilling to own a sg note over 1 year as anything from above mentioned could happen any time.
Nokia Phones, however, are boring. It is actually depressive to have a device which delivers results perfectly over a period of time. Really boring..... Right fandroids? :D

Firstl... moresymbian is fine Elop is forcing developers to go with WP by not making more symbian devices....and the fact that the 808 is the last symbian.....and the specs are up to date...i think the developers NEED to push symbian as much as possoble with this version of symbian and wit this type of hardware

EXACTLY.....the same crappy tiles...nothing new except hardware and it's really annoying,if they really survive they need to use diffent OSs and stp forcing people to use that shitty OS called WP...i would love to use my Nokia device....but if WP is on nope....it ain't happening..i hope jolla comes and RIPS the shit out of Nokia for not being loyal to their users

I have used the phone and I tell you it is the same old WP sh*t. Except for nokia's specs (cily lens and camera, which may be challenged) the phone sucks. Weight, handling, software, call drops, lack of apps, battery,,,,,, Microsoft is abusing nokia and nokia must abandon windows and use Android, meego and s40/60.
