Nokia Asha 308 review: The tweener

06 December 2012
While Lumia is rightfully at the height of hype, the Ashas have been quiet but busy. The lineup is being refined and updated and one of the latest installments, the Nokia Asha 308, is offering the familiar (and impressively efficient) Finnish dual-SIM setup on a capacitive screen...

LOL at these phones. Just buy a used S60 touch phone (5800,5530,5230,X6, etc) which has better hardware,OS,RAM,battery, loudspeaker, sound quality at almost the same price. I recommend the X6.

Also,Nokia dual sims = fail. It's too unreliable.

The best dual sim basic phone for the pricetag is this:

20 hrs of estimated talk time!

For basic use the touchcreen phones are not needed, they are too hassling. An s40 alphanumeric keypad model like X2-02 is much more practical and much better.

And besides it's not that as if there's no choice of wifi or 3g in asha phones.asha 303,302 n 311 r available if want those features.offcourse they'd cost more.this 308 is one of the most basic touch device meant for people who want to do basic things.

I hate 'no 3g, no wifi'. Maybe that's the best for its price, but better to compromise sth else. Only internet is what gives life to a touchscreen phone. Add to it that s40.... Couldn't they just put s60v3?
Much better if it was sth similar to the outdated e51, e52, e55.

it would be better if this phone runs symbian.
                      S40 doesn't support multi tasking.

I think the [ main disadvantage ] part need to change it. Instead of saying it main disadvantage, why not call it. [ not offering ]. I meam it isn't the usually smartphone that we're talking about here. So, how's that a main disadvantage again? Clearly, these are some low-end, cheap phones that being affordable for peoples that doesn't want to have the general smartphone the others have nowadays.

Selling phones like this to 3rd world countries is probably a good way for Nokia to boost their sales.
