I had Purchased Galaxy grand & S duos on 15 of Feb, my both hand set are not working properly, while charging i smell like burning in both hand set + while doing or receiving call on both phone it automatically goes on hold + they tell that in grand its storage is 8gb but its less then 4 gb & only 800mb ram we can use not full 1 gb, & in s duos, storage is told 4 gb but less then 2gb is their & only 300 mb ram not full ram we can use,
most important thing is service center people don't talk nicely, from 2002 i had used 10 different mobile in Nokia this is first time & only once in my life i visited Nokia service center, but i found Samsung service center crowed, it took 4 hour to come my number & i had check Delhi in Amritsar & Mumbai same condition service center are crowed, all with fresh & new phone i myself found 5 grand people who were having same problem while charging it give burning smell, all people were able to smell but in all service center they were not getting smell & they talk very rude, as we had not purchased cell phone, but we have begged from company & got it. i did not like it its waste of time & money its better to by some cheap company phone in same feature, use it from 1 or 2 year sell it go for next one,
One more thing first they gave me excuse then after 15 days they told we will repair we can't give new peace, coz according to our policy if you bring phone with in 15 days you will get replacement, i went on 16, exact till 15 days they did time pass by blaming & giving excuse, i just talked with one of office on Samsung phone in Mumbai, Instead of helping he told listen boss customer are not right they want everything in free & without cost then why they are giving warranty, i only went & told them please check it new why its giving problem they only made issue & started putting blame on us.

for those who legitimately owned a galaxy grand duos, can you please confirm that it supports USB OTG? it was stated here on gsmarena that its supports USB OTG, but on the review on you tube some owners says it does not support it, can anyone please enlighten me? thanks in advance.

The flimsier plastic actually will prevent it from shattering when it is subjected to hard impact. It can withstand more torsional stress thanks to the flexible material. Elementary physics!

Yes the resolution is low, however the display quality isn't bad at all. Sure it's not upto AMOLED or Super LCD standards, it isn't unacceptably bad. There are no notable traces of pixelation unless of course you take a magnifying glass and start hunting for pixelated areas.

Ram is 1.2 gigs and I don't think you need more than 4 gb of user space just for your applications! This doesn't qualify as a con at all.

Bullshit! It does a decent job in low light conditions. Again it shows that you never really bought the phone.

First of all *Multi. Secondly I ran 5 apps at the same time, no lag whatsoever. When I tried to run Dead Trigger as the 6th, then a minute amount of lag was notable.

According to me phone for the price has a good rather not bad display. If you were earlier using a low end screened smartphone you'll not find that of a difference.
Here are alternative phones
1st HTC ONE S ( international 1.5ghz processor not available in india but you can buy it from ebay )
2nd HTC ONE SV
3rd Sony Xperia S
4th HTC ONE S ( Asian version 1.7ghz available in India )
5th SAMSING GALAXY SII
6th SONY XPERIA P
If you are not concerned about company then leave all the above phones and just go for MICROMAX CANVAS HD.

I bought this phone last week. although this phone is ultimate nd awsome bt still i have some complaints regarding this that when it was mentioned that 8 gb is internal then why 4 gb is for user other 4 gb is where. this is totally to make fool of us.people buy this phone because of memory but if they didnt get according to the mentioned conditions then what is the mistake of the customer who buys this product?????

Can anyone tell me, does the phone hang quite often? And sometimes calls get dropped while both the sim are on? I am craving to buy this one...But is there any plans from Samsung to launch a new version of this with better screen PPi, in recent future??Then I will wait for that.....
Can any one give a quick reply??
