common samsung...its 2013. if u still use bad and ugly design, ur hardware n software innovation is nothing...
Choise a smartphone is not only at best spec, but combination of best design, best hardware, best software feature, best camera n video, best build quality, best multimedia, best UI and best compatibelity of accessories
And the winner for 2013 is Sony Xperia Z

Hahaha lmao that is hilarious. .sony are late onto the scene and will suffer as a result..the s4 is miles ahead from what I've seen so far.

Innovativity? WTF is innovative of the overrated htc one or xperiaZ in comp to S4? BEATS AUDIO? Water resistant phone? Haha..lmao you guys are total jokes that CLEARLY know sh** in this field..
And the design is fine..looks diff to some effect comp to s3..less bezel. .thinner phone..refined plastics used like the note2..m9re compact then the s3..comes in black/white as opposed to pebble blue..so there is a different in design albeit nothing groundbreaking..its not a bad looking phone at all people are just idiotic moaning about silly things like "oh NO it has DAT plastic no sh** im gonna be a hipster and buy the htc one or xperiaZ"!
You want innovation and something different?
At least sammy have made an effort with the amazing air hover feature that let's you command the phone without touching it. .smart pause is a nicety too..& a much more efficient processing approach with big.LITTLE which will promote more efficiency then other phones. .aka more battery power. .where are all the people who were complaining about how sammy aren't focusing on battery but cores instead. .well?
The camera also seems to have been mega upgraded and not just by tge 13mp bit by the diff implementations and the pic quality looks great so far. .
New display looks amazing wait till gsm comp it to the pathetic one or xperiaz..
Also power VR544mp3 is a far superior GPU chip to the pathetic adreno 320 sso get ready for a benchmark destruction not only in gpu but cpu aswell. .
Keep hating on the best phone on the market. .on the market leader..it will only push sammy's popularity forward..the s4 will prove everyone wrong as did the s3..anyone who blindlyand aarrogantly looks/believes/exclaims the htc one or XperiaZ to be better phones are just plain uneducated idiocy..they have nothing innovative about them and the s4 is far far superior.

Im sticking with my s3. Sure, s4 is a huge upgrade when it comes to hardware and quite much in the software and design side, but my s3 is fair enough to perform my daily tasks as my smartphone. Apps and games runs well and knowing that future android release will also be available on my phone is a good bonus for us s3 users. Pentile matrix on 720p is fine on me coz i usually use my phone 1ft away from my eyes. I think ill just wait for a next galaxy and I hope I will see a "wow factor" the first time I will glance at it.

Looks great. The criticism about the design is unfair and sales I think will prove it.
For me better than "boxy" nokia and Sony and better than HTC's use of aluminium.
In terms of pure design Samsung actually succeed.
People on here don't seem to realise their opinions are exactly those they choose to ignore and the sales go a long way to prove how out of touch certain elements of the demographic using sites like this actually are.
Good to know they really don't pay attention to any of the comments we make.

Not much impressive phone looks are same as s3 I don't think it will capture the market.

Whether phone nerds like it or not, this one should sell even more than SIII.
Other brands will keep playing catchup once again this year, Galaxy series pack the most in a stock phone and that makes the real difference.
Btw, nice show from Samsung, that was original.

I'm not sure about it. Despite the Octa CPU, I find the design and the build quality lacking.
I have the original note and I hate the pentile materix... you see tiny squares in it ... not pixels but the pentile matrix itself is visible... hmmm
HTC One, and Xperia Z are better looking for sure and way better build
Wish samsung at least make an S4 variant made of poly-carbonate or Aluminum
