I love how people love to cry "Gimmick" just to sound cool. Truth is, eye tracking software, advanced mobile image editing sotware, health monitoring capabilities, divice share multiplayer gaming, and the ability to control your device without touching it, if these are gimmicks just because no one else has ever done them, then so be it. HTC even thought their IR sensor was unique...not anymore...
Samsung has not only been thinking outside of the box, they don't even know what the hell a box is. I may not have fallen completely in love with the S4 (yet), but I damn sure have fallen in love with Samsung's ambition. No one else is even attempting things like this. It's funny how we all want Android OEMs to step up their game and when they do we cry "gimmick". They really need to stop it...

Samsung up date there devices for way longer than most and the s3 is still a good phone and most if not all of the software features will go to the s3 and the note. Dont get me wrong there are going to be people out there who wanna get the next one while owning the others but surely this is aimed at people who are looking at upgrading there phones rather than thos who already own a note or s3

the only competitor that has the chance to stand against the s4 is the upcoming iphone.
for people who don't want to buy the s4 just because they don't like samsung ,i highly advice htc one as the second best choice .
some people will try to promote other phones,and they might lie about their personal experience,so remember one thing:
if gsmarena said about any phone's screen that it is bad(reflective,poor viewing angles,low contrast,no gorilla glass) that mean it is bad.

I have a S3 was disapointed in the S4 design but the truth is it seems like samsung is trying to create a brand identity which in a sense is what flagships are all about Rolls Royce and Bentleys don't change drastically they evolve and that is what Samsung is doing.This S4 is now growing on me can't imagine when it's updated with "Lime key pie" i want one my next phone will be a S4

worst design from samsung. still my galaxy s2 looks far better. Not going to buy this. All features are just a crap & going to drain battery fast......currently, HTC one is the best smart phone

Cheap plastic Cheap Plastic CHEAP F***ING PLASTIC?! Seriously, guys? Whats up with all the damn plastic talk?! If you guys think about it, phones which had aluminium bodies always had production or quality problems, like the iPhone 5 and the HTC One S. Agreed, the IV is not made of the best of materials, but Samsung is doing for our good! They wouldnt want us to be suffering from production delay while we wait for the phone! Why can't any of you think deeper. Premium quality, premium materials is all that matters to you?! Look at all the phones which had 'premium' quality and 'premium' materials. They all had problems! And its polycarbonate for god's sake! Try buying 100g of polycarbonate and see how it compares to your 'cheap plastic'.

So I owned and used the OG SGS until early this year when I finally upgraded to the Nexus 4, I am dissapointed as far as the design goes (for the SGS4), the plastic with the dots has been around now for over 4 years? it looked ok then but now its just lame, they earned so much money maybe its time to hire some industrial designers? I loved my SGS to death, it still works occasionally and I actually miss some of the features that Samsung added to the OS like swype in the menus etc, but as far as upgrades in software and Kies goes, I would rather suffocate in a container full of Nexus 4s than ever use that sh*t again, I lost all my files multiple times just trying to back them up through kies... not to mention updating the os, I used to dream about updates, I of course eventually rooted it and ran custom os but that is a hassle and warranty sucks... I JUST WANTED TO SAY THAT I HATE THE DESIGN now more than ever, its just outdated cmon guys.

I wish I could sell 50M plastic! And this S4 will probably add another 100M.. not to mention the Note 2 & 3.. Samsung is doing good man.
