Sam, 20 Mar 2013I currently have the S3, i'm loving it but will be upgradin... moreSomething tells me that anyone that switches from a s3 to anything else will regret it. I got a s2 and it's time for an update. Although I was impressed with the one and z I am not willing to leave toutchwiz and removable battery. I don't really like the style of the skin but the features give it a very big advantage over anything else. Also I got to give it to Samsung for fitting a 5 inch screen in a smaller body with even bigger battery.

Sure people won't use it as much, but it's still there for people to play with, if the design is more important to you, then buy an iphone.

It will lose in audio because the One is good with it's speakers etc and that being the only significant advantage it has over the S4 which otherwise wipes the floor with the One..

Sam, 20 Mar 2013I currently have the S3, i'm loving it but will be upgradin... moreNot much of a difference? Let me give you some help when comparing the S4 to S3..

            - GS4 has FAR superior screen with 1080p, 0.3" larger and higher resolution and sharper screen
            - Faster more efficient CPU and WAY superior GPU
            - FAR superior camera with 13mp and many new awesome camera software and picture quality should be much better
            - Double Ram..1GB to 2GB RAM
            - Updated Touchwiz
            - Thinner, less bezel, more compact, looks better even if marginally
            - Latest Android OS vers. at 4.2 and therefore having all the benefits of 4.2 that the s4's competitors don't have
            - Latest Gorilla Glonass screen
            - Air gesture feature
            - Smart Pause/Smart Scroll
            - S-Translator, S-Health, S-apps, S-share?..
            - Larger battery

AND More..these are the advantages over the S3 that came to my head now let me give you the advantages over the One..

            - Expected better benchmarks (USA variant is already quicker)
            - Split screen
            - Smart Alert, Smart Rotate, Direct Call, Smart Pause, Smart scroll
            - Air touch Gesture
            - Larger battery
            - Better camera in picture quality (expected) and more sofwtare integration in camera
            - Latest Gorilla Glonass screen
            - Pop Up Play
            - Larger Screen in a smaller phone that also weighs less, how embarassing for the HTC lmao
            - Comes with latest Android vers.
            -Removable battery
            - MicroSD slot
            - Not sure about screen but despite the so called quailty of the One's screen I'm confident that the 1080p amoled in the S4 will be better, I say confident because I want to see a comparison before I make judgemental statements..

the only advantage of the HTC one is premium materials which is again subjective and good speaker quality with Beats Audio..that is all, software/camera/battery/processing power/innovativity the S4 is gazillion miles ahead.
Don't make the mistake in buying the one, the S4 is far better and you don't wanna make the mistake in buying a HTC one and then later regretting it, because that may very well happen.

What I find amazing is that it best the competition not with some features, it's the best phone in every single aspect. Perhaps the design is not there, but the polycarbonate is more durable than aluminum or glass and is more comfortable to hold because of its temperature glass so it's basically functionality over looks.

One thing they have to improve is the camera software. You can clearly see that it's the same module as Xperia Z but software processing isn't there yet. Sure it'll get polished with the final drivers and also most probably it'll get even better with updates, but the pictures are a little oversharpened and the saturation isn't there, which is very unlike of Samsung.

Does it provide enough features to keep buyers entertained? Can it be used with gloves on or without using your hands? Can you guarantee htc one will get fast updates?

I can keep going, but if you were going to defend your beloved htc one base it on more facts, not just 1 thing like the speaker quality...and don't bother mentioning the 4mp camera it's been proven that it's nothing special.

I dont think htc one or sony z can compete with the gs4...for example if all 3 phones had the same design, GS4 will blow away the competition by a mile.

SOny Z has a nice design but it's too big and doesn't feel very good in the hands with its sharp edges, the colours also looks washed out and you basically have to set the brightness close to 100% to make the screen look good. It doesn't have many features but water resistance will get alot of costumers.

HTC ONE is another great phone and I'd love to get one, but I'll end up putting a plastic cover so the design doesn't matter too much for me. Everything else is just average and the 4mp camera is nothing special.

SG4 on the other hand, almost have everything people wants in a phone. 16/32/64 gb internal storage, SD card support, removable battery, gorgeous super amoled screen which can be lowered down to people who thinks it's too saturated, a nice big 5 inch screen on a small body, loads of features some useful some are not but hey at least it's there if I want to play around with. Finally the bigger 2600 battery and samsung implemented a chipset with a battery saver on it which is a big plus on paper right now.

Another thing to to consider is the update support, htc and sony are still on jb 4.1 while gs4 is on 4.2. I think it's obvious that GS4 will get keylime 5.0 first.

I love technology so I got no reason to hate on any phones but that's my reason why I personally prefer the GS4.

Great performance numbers. It makes it harder for me to decide between the HTC One and S4. I like features from both phones and don't believe either phone will be a bad choice.

What is the point of this mobile. Whilst I can appreciate the great effort of Samsung, it adds nothing to my life style. Why bother to buy it when there is better value having a holiday.

everyone bags out the design and yet after 2 days, ounce you've shown it off to everyone that you know, no one really give a crap about what their phone looks like. when I pick up my phone, I pick it up to use it, not to sit there and admire the "premium" look and feel of it. the plastic and the curved body of sgs3 actually makes it feel good in the hand, has anyone held the iPhone 4s/5 or any other more rectangular shaped phone recently??

premium feel should be in functionality, not in looks. I could have the most amazing looking phone but at the end of the day you buy a phone to use it, not to look at it
