Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 review: Walking tall

16 June 2013
Many – including this website – have complained that only big phones have high-end specs. But there's a flip side to this argument – it's hard to find a big phone with mid-range specs. That's where Samsung's new Galaxy Mega 6.3 comes in...

Just saw it in a store, in portugal the galaxy mega 6.3 LTE costs now 549,99euros, but it's innicial price was 699,99euros. Expensive for what it offers, which is no innovation besides the large screen

This thing could have proved a good sucess story for samsung..
But the pricing sucks big time..
Its available for 30000rs here in India, while the S3 costs around 27000rs.. Its way too costly for its specs.. Well, and couple of thousand more and we get super fast note 2..
Samsung has now started taking its sucess for granted, like what Nokia did and see what happened..

Why only Adreno 305, Sony is using Adreno 320 for this res, and using 305 for FWVGA resolution on lower midrange. This Mega is not the best for gaming then.

RAM could have been bigger also, Samsungs bloat is RAM hungry. Design and choice of materials is disastrous, as usual from Samsung.

Other than that things are looking good, so big and yet so slim, and with narrow bezel, beats the Note 2, looking forward to try and hold this super slim giant that will still feel fat compared to Sony Togari.

the price in india is too high for the specs may be adreno 320 would have been better and screen reduced to 6 inch.

Why can't the next nexus or Motorola xPhone come out already!?

Waiting for S4 mini review. It has the samne chipset but at much lower resolution 540x960 so that mean it will be faster and more powerful. If I buy S4 mini then I will buy Nexus 7 2nd along with it or just buy Mega 6.3 for everything and still fit it in pocket. It very useful on some occasions but not all the time. For me plastic is not a big deal, just buy a high quality case and its all set.

                          and I've gotta say
                          awesome phone :D

big screen, low price, cool specs

the only down side is that it's a Samsung phone

                          cheap plastic toy-like materials !!
