Sony Xperia M review: Morning show

29 August 2013
Sony has made some great entry-level Android phones, but it's been a while since we saw a new model. The Xperia M injects new blood into the segment with both single and dual-SIM options. Based on the trademark Xperia design...

AnonD-43136, 30 Aug 2013Well the xperia M has even more limited storage! But xperia M has expandable storage unlike the last year's xperia U. You do get 5b on xperia U but thats it.

On xperia m its 1.5gb of the box, if u uninstall most unnecessary apps(on sony allows to remove preinstalled apps, Samsung doesnt) it wil go to 1.7gb and once u insert a sd card n move all multimedia on the card, u have almost 2gb free memory to install whatever u want.

And we can all hope n request sony to roll-out a move to sd card update! for all xperia jb devices!

If they put the Xperia L in the M's body it might look better than a window scraper ...

As a former Xperia U user, I think it's going to be a worthy successor of Xperia U. Cheap price with decent performance. (Not cheap, but poor performance)

Xperia U has decent performance, only hammered by it's 512mb ram and very limited storage.

I wish Sony would sell this device well.

M hasnt got enough storage space! L hasnt either but at least you can install maybe 2 or 3 big games! Nova 3 is 2.15gb in size so you couldnt even play this on M even if you uninstall everything! Advise if you buy the xperia M that you root so you can particion the sd card for app storage!

Price of Xperia M and L are very different in India.
                        M costs 13k INR($190) and L costs 16.5k ($250).
So M is far better buy than L

Who says Nokia lumia 620 is cheaper than xperia m. The best price I got for lumia 620 was INR 12k, but bought the xperia m for 11k only. It is now the king of budget phones.

And since Sony is doing gr8 with regular updates v can expect still and video camera quality to be improved by software updates..

As to the display brightness. Actually in my Xpera U I needed to set 80%~90% to have good bright so I think generally its Sony 'thing' when it comes to their displays.

Kadali, 29 Aug 2013Xperia M is way better than Xperia U in almost everything s... moreXperia U is more compact, has lots of space for apps and games, better display and the camera is just as good with slightly better highlights performance.

Keeping the U for secondary phone, only significant advantage with M is battery (for my usage).
