Sony has so many problems in xperia z,has sony corrects their display problem yet.the display goes dim after several minutes even the backlight time is set the max.it continues dimming until you let it idle for abt 5 minutes.2nd heat issues,the gadget goes hot easily same as s4.3rd very feeble voice call and audio.4rd bad battery quality.the battery lifes shortened easily after few charges.5th slow alphabet input and openig an apps compare to galaxy note 2.6th it is not water resistant device.many issue were made that the device goes blackout after accidentally dropped into water.7th it has a poor viewing angle, sunlight legibillity and the colour saturation is dull n pale compare to xperia Tx not to mention s amoled. 8th weak flash. Anybody buying if hanomi still have this problem or be disappointed!!!

yeah the z1 stats are awesome, but let out the sbh52 (old school-sbh50) asap, as i am gonna sue you due to increased biceps as answering calls with my z. i believe in sony. always believed. z1 waiting

looking good Sony continue the great work and I can't wait to add this device to my Xperia ZL. On a side note, everybody is bias one way or another. So in the long run I guess that makes everyone some form of fanboy.

I don't see the viability of QX as it is not a tangible upgrade for the inbuilt camera of Xperia Z let alone Z1.
The perfect pair would be the QX series with HTC One or the Butterfly S. Then the QX won't be redundant as it is much better than the 4MP ultrapixel.

Its too late, the lame xperia z has already tainted this series of devices with its laggy overlay and terrible viewing angles, the z1 needs to lose that bad image but will struggle as it looks almost identical to the failed xperia z.

im using xperia z and its the best smartphone till LG G2.im very much satisfied with my xperia z.
after searching and seeing and comparing Z1 to G2
i want to upgrade to LG G2.
I HATE TOO BIG PHONE Z1 LOOKS LIKE OVER SIZED PHONE BECAUSE OF ITS TOO BIG BEZEL AND UPPER AND BOTTOM SPACE.
while G2 has bigger screen yet has smaller and more friendly size in( my opinion)
both Z1 & G2 OFFER GREAT CAMERA & DISPLAY AND BATTEERY LIFE...
but G2 is more wiser ...

5inch phones are good for those with big hands. hope the mini version of z1 will come out like the zr only with most of the z1's specs, removable battery and, most importantly, more internal memory. it should be at least 16gb.

I disagree with you Gsmarena when you say that Z1 is a camera centric smartphone, it is much more than that, it has a beast camera while standing on top three of benchmark charts, it has quite everything a top dog android is meant to have.
