That battery is just too small for an 8.3 inch tablet.

I am just happy they arent throwing a 1600p screen on this one.
Tablets have only just gotten fast enough to decode hi10p MKVs but having resolutions that no video is available in just makes every possible use for that look stretched and stupid.
Thanks LG for not feeling obliged to keep up with the crap parts of the high end.

i hope this tablet‘s fate does not like its predecessor (optimus pad 3D) which had abandoned, no update at all (in my country, still 3.0.1)

I really really hope someone makes something quite similar to this with a new generation Intel inside, and windows 8 and adds stylus support and optional size-matched keyboard that attaches to the device (no bluetooth hassle, and the possibility to hold the device by the keyboard).
Sure, a bit thicker, if its going to fit that intel and probably larger battery capacity and stylus support. But the same width, same display size, and same display resolution.

Obviously Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is a different league of it's own, but this one, the LG G Pad 8.3 got me really psyched up.
As far as updates go LG might be slow on that department, but I guess this one is prolly worth while to use, I'll just have to wait if there are still any upcoming tablets this year.

AnonD-161820, 05 Sep 2013They have never updated it, like they usually do with ALMOS... moreIf this tab sell well with reasonable price then it will get supported by xda communities. In that case, there is no need to worry about updates from LG. You will get CM KitKat rom.

AnonD-161820, 05 Sep 2013They have never updated it, like they usually do with ALMOS... moreI wouldn't worry about that. There's virtually no difference anyway. If you were happy with 4.0.4, then 4.1.2, 4.2.1, 4.2.2 or 4.3 are exactly the same with the exception of Google now and a few minor bug fixes.
I think people worry too much about software updates. I think they think that because their device won't get updated to the new latest version, it suddenly becomes completely obsolete.
I've got a nexus 7 and on 4.3 and a phone on 4.0.4. Zero difference. Eachntime the nexus gets updated I seem to lose features rather than new things being added.
