AnonD-100013, 13 Sep 2013Xperia Z1 low-light snaps http://www.xperiablog.net/2013/0... moreThe Sony love-in that's going on there is hilarious but the shots are definitely pointing towards much improved low light performance for Sony and Android in general. This has to be the best phone in the android world for low light. But it's not a match for the top Lumias and the 808.

The more pressing concern is the faulty lens array that many seem to be getting in their review units. Way too much fuzziness and smeared lefts or rights or centers.

FYI Nokia was always known for good low-light performance even with non-flagships.

I have two questions and I hope you answer them at least in the full review.
            1. Does the screen support use of any pen as stylus like in Z Ultra?
            2. Does Z1 have stock android browser or just Chrome?
Looking forward to hear something about those things.

neb, 13 Sep 2013GsmARENA please retake photos on the sunny day.NO, retake with 808 and Lumia 1020 on a rainy day instead, lets stop judging camera capabilities solely under perfect conditions. Most phones are good enough in perfect light (except HTC), even my old Sony Ericsson did good 8mp shots on perfect days, but thats not what i need.

Anonymous, 13 Sep 2013Well, show us any other phone that can do this then, http... moreLooking at it again, the best photos of my S4 friends came from iPads. Now thats strange or what? No, iDevices are also reliable performers that can handle non-optimal non-perfect days, not like Samsung and Nokia in "PerfectVille".

And photo in general, i think Sony is doing well. The NEX5 gives noise free photos at iso 6400, great camera. Xperia Z may not be a champion in photo but overall it takes good pics, especially indoors it excels, not without some noise but images come out with correct colors and good white balance compared to most other flagship phones. You have to use a camera under difficult conditions to see its strengths and weaknesses, most cams did better than Z in perfect conditions but under various conditions the Z is a reliable performer.

I dont care about perfect days with perfect photo conditions, i care about the reality and the conditions it offers me. Galaxy S3 and Note 2 are good examples of phones that often fail under non optimal conditions, and S4 isnt that much better. 4 of my closest relatives have S4 and their facebook uploads do not match mine in general, obviously their reality also is not made up of perfect days in Fantasy World were Lumia 1020 fans live.
