Proud owner of 1020 and HTC One here.
1020 - massive details, great oversampling resulting sharp and almost prefect 5MP photos. However, white balancing is off the mark for night shots.
HTC One - Good contender for quick photo shooting. Very good low light capturing. Very low details due to its low resolution, but is really very ideal for social sharing. White balance is very accurate too.
Windows Phone or Android, both OSes suit me well. Just love technologies.
PS: Lumia 925 camera can blow iPhone 5s easily out of water. And 925 has good white balance too.

You know what's the more better shootout? How about a micro(a photo of a ant) and infinity( a photo of the moon)shootout. I really really really wanna see the results of that and especially the lumia 1020 results for taking photos of the moon.

AnonD-32581, 12 Oct 2013lol,,, time to move on mate, sorry to burst your bubble but... moreNope. Nokia 808 still has a discrete image processor. Nokia had low-level source code access to Symbian and were able to integrate the Broadcomm BCM2763 chip. This had to be removed for the Windows Phone 1020 and it is now done in software. The result: slightly degraded picture quality that is "digitally enhanced" which is basically like playing with the brightness/contrast settings to make it look brighter and sharper. But the raw image is still lower quality than what the 808 would give you, and it is very easy to change settings on the Nokia 808 to replicate the 1020 "enhancements." You could easily Google (or Bing, if you are on Windows Phone) Nokia 808 vs 1020 and the results are the same every time. The Pureview 808 is still the best quality camera phone ever made, and I say that as a former 808 and current 1020 owner.

I don't really like stills on the Note 3 even in daylight. The oversharpening and artificial processing looks pretty terrible. It's the same on my SGS4 - it takes decent pics but blurry and processing is crap. I think it's a very overrated camera, but that said unless I had a 1020 I'd probably complain about all phone cameras. But I'm not going to have the 1020 because of Windows.

For me:
1st- 1020
2nd- Z1
3rd- Note 3
well, Note 3 does well in areas that are not to be used that importantly- Panorama, 4K video BUT Z1 does well in still photos (both in day light and night) and most people use the camera for this purpose!
