dayum this phone is sexii hahaha lol. i really like this phone.i have a question tho,wen yu touch tha screen does it vibrate? and can yu take tha vibration off??
if yu listeing to music n yu get a txt message will it stop ur music frm playin & can yu like some how minimize tha music to read it n reply because i hve tha at&t quickfire n i liked it at first buh tha touch screen sucks after a while,...i jus had another one shipped to me but they shipped me a dam refurbished phone and ofcourse it doesnt work..n it keeps shutting off so i hope i can get this one...
im gunna miss mi full keyboard tho :( buh yea answer mi questionsss :)

I had a Samsung i900 Omnia for about 2 months. Then it bricked when i tried to hard reset it. It became useless and since it was bought on internet and officially not a US version i sent it to Korea for repair. Another month and a half-no news. So no more Samsung for me.
Then i did the research and bought myself a SE Experia X1. What a difference folks. The screen is more responsive, extra keyboard, much better feel and finish, hard ware buttons glow in the dark, better resolution of the screen, doesn`t freeze up as much, better sound, ...and it`s made by HTC.
So folks do yourselves a favor, get SE or HTC and be happy. There will be no more wasted time and money on rubbish like Samsung or Nokia. Nokia used to be good 5 years ago. No they simply fail to keep uo with technology, and they are completely not user friendly. My N82 died on me after less than a year of use. I re-installed a firmware, it didn`t work out. What a waste.
That was just my humble opinion. Please no offense or aggravation taken. Cheers, Val.

I've had the eternity for a month or two now and i really like it, but being stupid i type a lot of weird words and save them
so when i type yeah, it comes up as weah
or it is ht, in is hm, a lot of this stuff is just annoying.
does anyone know how to edit the dictionary or the words you save?

And no, you can only set message tones with songs up to 300kb, which is usually around 18-20 seconds.

(choose which profile you want to change the message tone on; Normal, Silent, Driving, or Outdoor)
(In the top right corner, under the time where it should say call, click the arrow and select message)

However, you can do so with ringtones, for if someone is calling. You can also choose a specific vibration pattern for a person (5 options)

Texting is good. The phone T9 dictionary will correct pretty much any mistakes you make, even in landscape keyboard mode, but you can turn the T9 off.. The handwriting recognition is also fun, but a little slow..

Also, when playing a song and then exiting to the home screen, the music player widget remains on the home screen and continues playing your music. You can then even hide the music player by putting it back in the widget menu bar and it will STILL continue playing! To stop the music entirely, just push the red button (hang up/power) while at the home scree, or just pause it :)

when I ... moreThis might sound silly but I had to put the memory card into my magellen nav system. Then downloaded from computer to magellen ttook mem card out and put it in phone and the head phone jack lets me plug into port speakers good luck

when I plug the usb cord into the PC it says found new hardware but does not allow to drag and drop
other wise i love this phone also to scroll address book just hit the side up down buttons it scrolls every page traded from the quickfire hated it

Fellas, this phon is a waste of money, the Camera'z not strong enuf, and the speed is pathetic.
to browse thru the different menu options is so not-user-friendly

jon, 05 Jan 2009this fone is so asome i trade mi crapy incite and got this ... morei too traded in my incite for the eternity. the incite is a terrible phone, bad voice qualities, touchscreen, and low RAM (meaning hella slow phone).
