This really is an incredible phone for the price I paid for it (about $60). Let me first say that I was looking for 3 main things: the phone had to have a QWERTY, a large touchscreen, and be a smartphone. Now while I didn't get a smartphone with this device, I never find myself wishing I had gotten a different phone. There are quite a few apps to choose from including navigation and many games, email and IM (AIM, Yahoo, MSN) features are simple to access and are integrated well, and the web browser is very fast and can view just about any standard webpage including Youtube videos. And considering how cheap this phone can be had for, not to mention I am not paying the $30/month ATT requires to use a smartphone, I think this is a MUCH better value for just about anyone except the most power-user out there. Not to mention none of the smartphones I was looking at had awesome OLED screens!
Pros: Price; fantastic screen (excellent colors, resolution, touch accuracy, size, battery life, and brightness); comfortable and fast QWERTY; excellent call quality/OS/battery life/call quality/Web speed and reception; surprisingly good camera; basic but decent MP3 player.
Cons: OLED leaves something to be desired in direct sunlight; no flash for camera; MP3 player is quite basic
The best thing about this phone is the screen. AMOLED (active matrix organic LED) has extremely vivid, crisp images and deep colors. I have never seen a phone with a more beautiful screen and I've seen many phones. It isn't too great in direct sunlight though. The touch screen feature is very accurate, much more so than older Samsung touchscreens (I was worried about this). The call quality is great, the keyboard is one of the best QWERTYs I've used, very accurate and fast to type on and a nice texture on the keys. The camera is very good but no flash unfortunately, although I've never really found the need to have one. The operating system is very good, simple but it allows customization of pretty much any feature you could want in a non-smartphone. There are a decent number of apps available but nothing like iPhone. It's quite a sturdy phone and a nice design too IMO.
Overall while this phone isn't quite as sexy or revolutionary as say any of the RAZRs or the iPhone, it still is an incredibly competent and functional pseudo-smartphone with a gorgeous screen and plenty of features to keep you occupied. Most important, it's a good PHONE. I would have paid easily twice as much for a device like this. Good job Samsung, a huge improvement over your earlier touchscreen/QWERTY devices.

This absolutley the best phone i've had since well when I got my first phone. This has great keys and for me thats really good because i'm a texter. Great picture quality. Who ever I call they can always hear me well. The screen never ever fails. The thing is that when you first get the phone you'll have to get used to pushing a little bit harder on the screen than the IPHONE for example, but you'll get used to it I guarentee it. Over all I would recommend this phone to anyone who loves to text or even if they dont like to text. Oh and the keys are huge so thats great.

Iv'e had this phone for about a week and a half , and i love it, the keyboard is spacrd out so nicely, and i can text super fast. The touch screen is so good,The phone has never frozen on me or lagged. Also it takes very good pictures. The internet on this phone is great to, pages load very quickly and is a all around good phone. In conclusion , i would definently recommend this phone to the average texter, and a person who loves their cell phone.

I'm thinking about buying it, and I have a few questions...
1. is it a worth the price?
2. is the keyboard annoying to text on?
3. does the touchscreen ever stop responding?
4. is it fragile?
5. would you recommend it?
thanks =p

This camera DOES NOT HAVE Flash in the camera.
Also, the GPS is locked to ATT so it is useless to unlock it if you are trying to have a 3rd party gps application
