Samsung and AT&T unveil Note, Skyrocket HD and Exhilarate
AT&T and Samsung announced the latest results of their collaboration. The second largest US carrier is getting the Galaxy Note smartphone-slash-tablet, the Galaxy S II Skyrocket HD superphone and the eco-friendly Exhilarate.
We've been expecting the Galaxy Note to hit AT&T, so that bit is hardly any news. The changes that the AT&T Galaxy Note bring are the LTE connectivity and the four capacitive buttons, which replace the two-touch-plus-one hardware combo that we saw on the international version.
The Skyrocket HD is something along the lines of the Galaxy S II HD LTE - it features a 4.65" Super AMOLED display of 1280 x 720 (HD) resolution, 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and 4G LTE capabilities for high-speed data access on the go.
The Samsung Exhilarate is made from 80% recycled materials previously used in smartphones, has a 4" Super AMOLED display mounted out front and features a nature-friendly eco calendar and calculator.
These devices are expected to land in the coming months on AT&T's network along with the Lumia 900, the Sony Xperia ion and the HTC Titan II.
