The spec. does look good on paper, but in real time use, Samsung phones are very rubbish & have a lot of niggles ...

Don't buy from e-buy-global.com !
It's strange that they got mobile phones 70% cheaper, e.g. 8600 Luna - $150. It's that odd, that it doesn't even cover production expenses...
So, my advice: don't even write to them. They aren't really from Italy! Their host is somewhere in Israel! It might aswell be some kid playing around behind his PC, and getting his money off our backs.
When I asked for their company's registration number, business rate, or something like that, the director replied to me they haven't got it for anybody. 'Cause that's something that has to be made public, so anyone may verify it.

Do not compare this phone to the Prada/iPhone and then simply dismiss this phone. What many people take for granted is just how SMALL this phone really is. It is amazing just how Samsung have managed to yet again, cram all the technology into something the size of a credit card (in 2 Dimensions anyway) - plus the phone is waffer thin!!! So you're getting pretty much Prada/iPhone functionality and screen quality (plus a higher res camera) for a fraction of the size! That is truly amazing!
I love my P310 - it has it's drawbacks but when you are dealing with such a small device, you have to be more forgiving rather than expect Samsung to defy the laws of physics! Here is a list of items I would like to see Samsung resolve in the P520 (over the P310):
- Play video/mp3s straight off the memory card withough having to copy them over
- Faster Bluetooth transfer (this should be resolved with 2.0)
- A better (full) Java implemetation thus allowing wider access to games (currently this is quite restrictive)
- Quicker access to files on memory card (this is way too slow at the moment)
- Provide some anti-blur function that prevents pics taken from blurring
- A better flash (pictures in low light conditions are very poor ATM)
- Better loudspeaker if possible
- A much better brighter backlight display (currently, if you go out in bright conditions, you cannot read the display. Something like the N95 would be good which detects poor/bright light conditions)
- Real HTML web access, via horizontal display
- Much much better headphones please!

It's a pity that it looks a lot like the Prada ! I thought that Samsung was a creative force.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Samsung, give the P520 microSDHC compatability... Also please enable MP3 and MPEG4 playback from subfolders on card. We want a "play all" option in each folder tier, and fullscreen video playback from card. With the 8gb microSDHC cards coming out soon, the P520's ability to compete with iPhone and like models will rely on smooth and smart access to user-expanded memory. A new OS/UI wouldnt hurt either (perhaps Symbian?).

guys i was going to buy this phone until i see someone who owns one. the screen is f.cked up with scratchs and and fingerprints. you wait about 4 seconds to get into messages. i will buy w960. great with cam and 8gb HDD also touchscreen and has keyboard in case you use when you are on move. furthermore, isn't as expensive as N95 or this phone.

As a guy, there seems to be a never ending search to reduce the amount of junk you have to carry around, Phone, Camera, MP4 Player, Car keys, Blackberry, Money Clip and Wallet being the most common.
If I had to rack my brains for a way to make this phone better, I would suggest including a fingerprint reader and Mobile Suica. The challenge for Samsung would be partnering with auto makers and merchants to add a reader in all new cars and shops respectively.

I do kind of like this phone, but from my past experience with Samsung phones i.e. P300, P310 & other models, I had always experience different problems, so they do scare me off! ..... mybad experience with Samsung phones include:-
slow interface
slow search for network
short battery life
weak & unstable reception
low earpiece volume
low ringtone volume
questionable durability in the long run(usually arise after half a year)
Although as much as I would like to buy this phone; I'm scared off by my bad experience with Samsung phones!!!

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....falling asleep after seeing how slow is this interface,...and i bet they bring the phone on market around 500 euro.,...i zzzzzzzzzzzzzz little bit more and in meanwhile i just use my ""old fasion" phone,,...i like touchscreen phones,,but lg,apple and now also samsung is : (((((((((((((((((((((

i am not apple fan,,..but if we speak about touchscreenphones its for moment 1 of the better one(MY IDEA : ),....lg didnt impress me,,but samsung realy didnt impress me after seeing the video,simple and slow,..maybe sony or nokia will come soon with something REALLLLLLLLLLL GOOD
