do u think i shud buy this phone? i'm so interested in it, but then there are a few response stating negative things.... decision is so hard to make after reading it. so, would i regret if i BUY OR NOT??? anyone reply please...

Hi guys,
its around 5 days with my new samsung corby pro.What a super phone great value of money. . . . .
1) its 2.8" screen is awesome
2) no issue in wi fi connectivity.
3) small widgets are awesome.
4) its lacking of any GPS software.
5) video call quality is quiet satisfactory.
6) Also having support of java opens door of installing endless apps.
7) its battery backup seems good i am having 1.5 days along with all accessing files.Games.Internet etc.
8) Most important thing is its qwerty keypad. . . . . .

warda, 10 Feb 2010where did you buy your phone?I got it at one of the bigger handphone shops at Low Yat. I assume you are from M'sia. Its on the handphone floor. The store is just right in front of you once you arrive at that floor using the escalator.

Hi, i've just received my corby pro yesterday. i was bit curious about the free games. after opening the games and application folder on the menu screen, i just saw two application (Google map and the IM app). May i know how to get the free games they stated?
i tried to download using the download link on the menu but the site display some sort of italian message that i cannot understant whenever i click the games image on samsung mobile wap site.

its very simple..
see to it that u keyin ur network password properly
and does anyone face this problem of ringtone like if u download any ringtone and save it in ur memory card and if u set that as ur ringtone then it makes one more copy of it and saves in ur internal memory..
please try this and let me know

I've spoken to a few dealers here and they say that the keypad of the pro isn't good and the keys come off....
Can any user confirm this?

Hi,
There is no call recording feature I think...still in search for an app which can do that...so far no success..
Connecting to PC broadband is a problem which I also faced...what you have to do is
1)create an Ad Hoc Network
2)Share your PC Broadband connection with your Wireless Ad Hoc network
3)Go to the Wireless Connection Properties and give the
IP : 192.168.0.1
Subnet mask : 255.255.255.0(default one , dnt change)
Preferred DNS Server : your ISP's DNS(find from Status-->Details)
Alternate DNS Server : your ISP's DNS
4)Now Activate the Wi-Fi in your mobile and Search.
When detected, ADD this...
Here u have to provide the following settings in mobile
IP : 192.168.0.2
Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0
Gateway : 192.168.0.1
DNS Server 1 : your ISP's DNS
DNS Server 2 : your ISP's DNS

Great phone. A Feature rich device. Better touch response, sound quality, accelerometer response than Nokia 5800XM. Open ur photo gallery and tilt the phone, slide show automatically begins. Wi-fi is better. Camera lacks auto-focus and flash but equipped with all digicam features.

karan, 08 Feb 2010its with all samsung phonesMy phone is not CorbyPro but another one. Set a ringtone from music player. Then delete the copy without the sign. Try it.
