Sun, 01 Feb 2010Hey..i m also getting the same error on using KIES software... morei just downloaded the new pc studio from the pakistan site of samsung and installed the usb drivers from the kies CD. i am able to connect to my phone , but i am still unable to install any java application or games as there is no installer kind of thing provided with the software.

hi all. will appreciate if this can be answered.
i understand that samsung corbypro's resolution is quite poor.
is resolution very important to a phone? what are the down sides to poor resolution, how will it affect the phone? because my only concern about the phone is its resolution, the rest of its specs seems pretty enough for me.

Hi,
I have corby pro. I was connected to my BSNL secured wireless network after I entered the security password, ip address and dns servers. Once I get connected I tried to connect the internet. Even after wireless network is connected I can’t able to connect to the internet.
It says “DNS failed”
Can any one please help me how do I connect with wifi

Rajkr, 02 Feb 2010Can someone tell me, if I can play a flv video in the devic... moreU cant play .flv files directly.u need to convert it into mp4 file of 320x240 max resolution.use xilisoft ultimate video converter for this purpose.
U can play youtube on it though

G.Narayanan, 02 Feb 2010I am in Chennai I got the piece after a wait of 10-15 days.... morewell A-GPS requires active GPRS connectivity on which the maps are updated and the location of a person and destination are dynamically updated.Google maps which is there in Corby PRO is A-GPS ,in start u need the GPRS activated mobile and at start just configure the maps u r interested in and determine ur location in it(it will be saved)after which u can use the GPS the way u want(satellite view,street view etc).
If u are interested in using offline GPS then i would prefer using TREKBUDDY but for this u need to download the maps separately and u need to re-configure the maps and some loci as per the software requirement(its a very tedious task).

Sounds strange but I've experienced some weird problems regarding passwords. Try to change your router's password to just letters and numbers (at least 13 characters) just to see. Also be sure this mobile can support the type of encryption your router is using (WPA or WPA2).

I am in Chennai I got the piece after a wait of 10-15 days.I upgraded my account with bsnl to 3g and enabled gprs,wap,mms and the have configured my phone online
I am able to access internet without the help of my wireless modem(bluetooth) view mails etc .But my gps is non functional
What is that 'A-Gps'? how to install it and configure

Dear All,
I am not able to upload files from PC, i have Windows 7 Ulimate, it the reason why the Kies is not working.
Please help me out & how to Activate MMS as i dont see the Connectivity option

VK007, 01 Feb 2010ya am also getting the same prob...no soln. yetAll those having problems with kies software need to uninstall it and then reinstall it.
make sure the settings in your mobile is set for Kies
follow this on your mobile
menu->settings->phone settings->PC connections
and then out here select and save Samsung Kies.
If u set it to Mass storage wen you connect the mobile to PC only the external memory (Micro SD)will be accessible.
By the use of Kies u can access both internal as well as external memory.
Kies takes hell lot of a time to open up.Make sure when using kies no other major application is running(Kies utilizes most of the RAM)
Its better to open up Kies first and then connect your mobile to the PC.Some OS have problems with the Samsung USB drivers.
We can now upgrade Kies to Omnia pro version(not necessary actually)

I bought the phone 15 days before, every thing is good
i faced 2 problem
1.kies software is not working
2. GPS ( samsung does not have their navigation software, thats why u have to use A-GPS through internet, i wondered such a big company don't have their navigation software...shocking yaar.
