Hey gaurav i have a corby pro too and wasnt able to connect to my home wifi network...i then tried this out...i changed the DNS settings in advanced settings as follows
1.Select Static DNS
2.Server 1 - 192.168.1.1
3.Server 3 - 192.168.1.101
And since then its been working fine...try it out...mite help

I recently bought this piece and I have 2 questions out of which one is not mentioned anywhere.
When I open pdf / word / text files and touch the screen to zoom in I cant navigate using the qwerty keyboard. When I try using the touch screen sometimes it registers as a click and it shrinks back to normal which is tiresome. How can I navigate on the page using qwerty ?
Second problem is that after reading everything I am still not able to connect to internet on my cell using wifi and internet connection on my laptop. I also googled for it but couldnt do it.
Can someone post a step by step method on how to connect cell to lappy and use internet as vodafone charges are too much and I have unlimited plan at home.
Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time and trouble to post step by step.. :)

well im using Corby pro(B5310) for the last 2 weeks
the best part is its battery backup i play music over 4 hrs everyday watch at least 1 movie(176x144 3gpp(stereo mode)) and play at least 8-10 music videos encoded in the same movie format use GPRS over 2hrs and message around an hour or so talk time say over an hour and the battery lasts for over 3days straight.
talking about music its not as good as the sony ericsson but descent enough to give u good pleasure.its equipped with DNSe so much better than other usual mobiles.(music environment music clarity,wide, bass enhancement,externalization,normal,rock,jazz,live,classic,mega bass,concert hall)
video player isn't that good plays certain types of mp4 files(DOES NOT PLAY AVI FILES),plays 3gp,3gpp,divx,xvid files..max resolution is 240x320
wifi is easy to use and connect
camera is a descent 3.2mp and is loaded with 4x digital zoom .LACKS flash .it cannot be compared to a cybershot or carl zeiss optics but clarity is better than nokia 5800(images are granulated-firmware issue-not yet resolved)
memory is expandable upto 16gb(im using 8gb so far)
can easily use 4widgets n music player at a time (processor maybe 438MHZ) at this price range its a good multi tasker
call clarity is really good and audible on both ends is equipped with fake call application
talking about touch sensitivity its pretty good and responsive unlike nokia 5800 (gave me heck of problems all the time)
qwerty is good and can be easily used by people having fat fingers BUT IT LACKS COPY-PASTE CAPABILITY
plays FM radio nicely and we can record them as it plays
it is preloaded with a few games but all are trial versions(HATE IT)
as it cannot support third party software directly it is its darkside.but we can download them via GPRS from free site and rum them.or u need to Flash your mobile (MOD) which voids the warranty of the mobile
did not try the GPS so far so can't really comment on it.but have seen it work on others mobiles
supports text files ,words,ppts,pdfs
overall its a very good phone equipped with pretty good widgets (additional widgets can be downloaded via samsung's WAP site).its a pretty good value for money.hope samsung updates its firmware which can be used to support 3rd party softwares (in mobile there are licenses of the widgets and their 3rd party identities)
well if u r a casual user enjoying browsing.social networking, texting and music its a go-go 4 u guys.
for a business purpose better opt for OMNIA PRO/E-series

Can any one please tell me how to use internet in PC using this mobile as modem. I tried Dail up connection but no use .. the PC suit provided with this mobile does not show any such option .. I am struggling to connect it please help me

been using the Corby pro for almost a week now and I just wanna point out a couple of things. BTW please do correct me if my observations on this phone is incorrect.
First are widgets and other applications like the internet that when accidentally touch, will automatically connect to your phone GPRS. I'm not sure about the outher countries but here in the Philippines they charge for the GPRS service.
Is there a setting in which the phone will ask you if you want to connect via GPRS or WiFi connection?
Second is with the "Smart Unlock" feature were in you can assign a letter to unlock your phone by drawing the letter on the screen.
The problem is when you click the unlock button on the side of your phone, you can bypass the "smart unlock" feature by just pressing the lock sign on your screen.
Again, do correct me if I missed any setting to correct this.
So far these are the only 2 loopholes that I found with this phone.

For the 1st issue - Call the customer care,they'll fix ur issue

i had buy corby pro and i had install samsung kies software but when i connect phone to desktop for more than 1 hour its only display "connecting to device please wait" can anyone plz help me whats the problem
