Can anyone explain what does a firmware upgrade means and how does this update helps?
I could see a firmware upgrade option in Samsung Kies.. When i click on this firmware upgrade icon, it is searching for latest version of firmware and downloads it!!!

i can use the camera (to share the pics in chat) also with the newer version of palringo, you should contact Samsung Service to re-install the Firmware or you can do it by yourself if you have idea that how to operate it's bios...

I am using this phone right now and all I can say 'bout this phone, it's nice... although it's lil' slow but overall it's perfect,,, No bugs, 3G performance is good,
Sound quality is awesome (as usual),,,,
But... the camera sucksss, although i have a DSLR so why would I use this mo-cam :P
Resolution, video quality is too good,I wish it had OS instead firmware, then I can fully utilize it's video features....
For those who wanna use a nicer phone but less costly,
I suggest, buy this one :) Regards....

chaitanya, 20 Jul 2010i bought corby pro a week ago & now i have become a rea... moreI dont think that the jar files can be directly copied to your memory card and install it to your games/applications folder. The phone says "unsupported file type" if you try to install a jar file from a memory card.
Best way is to download the jar files from a website using GPRS.

chaitanya, 20 Jul 2010no it cannot be used as a modem. u must have a wi-fi modem ... morechaitanya, please answer questions carefuly. putting misleading/wrong information will not help anyone. Your answer that corby pro cannot be used as modem is totally wrong. I am using it to access gprs on my laptop through mobile and it is working correctly in windows 7 as well as ubuntu lucid.
and altough samsung kies cd mentions that kies is for xp and vista only but it is working correctly on windows 7 as well.

^_^, 19 Jul 2010Can anyone teach me how to turn off 3G? The instruction boo... moreif u have a 3g card & u want to deactivate it then u must go to network settings & then change ur network mode to GSM 900/1800 then ur 3g will get deactivated & u will get only 2g network.

Ayush, 20 Jul 2010Can the phone be used as a modem to run internet on computer?no it cannot be used as a modem. u must have a wi-fi modem & then u cam use that connection on ur pc as well as ur phone. to use it as a modem u may use a nearby wi-fi modem which is on & is unprotected, u can connect ur phone to that modem & then u can also use ur phone as a modem to get an internet connection on ur pc.

Zaffer, 16 Jul 2010Friends, i need your help, iam not able to get connected... morethe KIES is only compatible with XP & VISTA. if u have one of these then please reinstall it. 1st install CD 1 & connect ur PRO to KIES. ( 1st select KIES in ur phone i.e in settings-phone settings-pc connections ) after that ur phone will be directly connected to KIES when u connect it to pc using the USB cable. after connecting it once to the KIES remove it & install .NET files in the CD 2 in ur PC. if automatic updates are available then intall them. after all these u will not have any problem regarding KIES.
