find JAD MAKER using GOOGLE and download it(it's freeware as Andrea already mentioned). When you open the program file of JAD MAKER just drag and drop the JAR file in the program window. It will automatically create a JAD file in the same folder where the JAR file is stored.(the jad file is about 1KB). After that copy BOTH the files in your phone. To install the program disconnect the phone from the PC and navigate to the folder where you previously copied the files. Run the JAD file and ... voila... tha program is installed :)
However where do you find programs for B5702. I only found games but I'm curious to find some useful programs.

I have installed a 2D barcode reader to the phone, and I got jad and jar. First I was only tried to use the jar (refused), and not the jad, because on a E65 I can install it with jar.

Csipu, 14 Jan 2010Perfect! Works fine. Thx a lot!I forgot to say that if you have only the jar file (sometimes it happens..) of the program that you want to install, then you can use, for instance, jadmaker (which is freeware) to create the jad file.

Csipu, 12 Jan 2010Do anybody know how to install a java program to the phone?you need the jar and jad files of the program you want to install. Put them on the memory of the phone (or on the micro sd), disconnect the phone from the computer, go on the folder were you have placed the two files and select the jad file.. it will start the installation.

I am satisfied with the voice quality on both SIMs.
We are talking about the network signal against a single SIM phone.

I think that probably all the current samsung dual sim share this problem, but things are probably already getting better..
I hope that, possibly soon, samsung will fix the problem (I don't think they will update our firmwares, but at least the next generation of mobiles..).

i agree a single SIM phone has better network si... moreI have disabled SIM2, but the strength of the signal has not changed on SIM1. I am afraid it is a design "issue". Probably the 2 SIMs requires this compromise ;)
I still love this phone. This signal issue usually not relevant in a city.

i agree a single SIM phone has better network signal receiver than the B5702's.
I'll give the same example:
When my girlfriend's phone has detected 90% signal my phone always stays at least 1 bar behind hers(we both use the services of a same operator).
Well as soon as I can place/receive a call on both sims it doesn't bother me.
I'll try to disable one of the SIMs and see how it will result in the signal receiving capability on the active SIM.I'm curious if it will still run behind a single SIM phone.

Csipu, 10 Jan 2010Hi Ivan,
I use the 2 SIMs from the same operator as well... moreAnyway did I mention, that I am satisfied with this phone? :) The battery life 3-5 days. Pretty comfortable and nice phone. It knows everything what I need. Now.
My only problem is the carkit. I have a Nokia CK-7w carkit, and I use my phone via bluetooth. My predecessor E65 can pass the ringtone to the carkit, so I usually know the caller because of the ringtone. The B5702 does not pass (or CK-7W does not accept) the ringtone, so I can hear the old fashion black phone buzzing when somebody calls me. Not so comfortable but the BT connection is solid :)

Ivan, 10 Jan 2010The switch off issue hasn't occurred again ... so far :)
S... moreHi Ivan,
I use the 2 SIMs from the same operator as well like you, but I cannot say the signal for the 1st SIM is stronger. It seems equal for me, or max 1 stick difference what is not significant. Sometimes the SIM1 better sometimes SIM2.
My biggest problem my wife's phone has a better receiver on her phone than mine. It means when the signal is ~80-90% on her phone, then it is only ~60% on my B5702.
I have realized this issue with other single SIM phone.
So the 2SIMs request better signal to works fine, but the single SIM phone still can be used when mine not works at all.

The switch off issue hasn't occurred again ... so far :)
Since I use my phone with 2 SIMs of a same GSM operator i noticed that the primary(default) SIM has better network detection capability than the second SIM. When I set as default the 2nd SIM then it has higher network range/more bars in the upper left corner on the display/ than the other SIM(which previously was default). It even happened to lose the network range with the 2nd SIM(preventing me from placing calls with the 2nd SIM) while the primary still has some bars and placing/receiving a call is still available. It's very odd, having in mind both SIMs share the same GSM operator.
It doesn't matter on which slot you've put the SIM card. It only matters which one is set as default from the sim manager menu.
P.S.
It only happens on places where the network signal is not so strong(e.g. concrete buildings, basements etc.)
If the network signal is good both of the SIMs indicate full range.
When SIMs of different operators are used I suppose this issue will be hardly detected.
Any comments on the above or just mine is messed up again? :)

It switched off while I was trying to read the sms from the computer...but I was not using the samsung new pc studio.. just testing a different one (not samsung at all!), hence I figured out it was because of the software not a phone's fault.
