roland, 23 Jan 2010oh shoot.. got to find another phone to buy.. thanks for th... moreNo problem roland. By the way, I saw some post below of some guy spotting the Omnia Lite at SM Megamall so I decided to check for myself.
Checked the entire CyberZone area today including the official Samsung store. Again, to my dismay; not a single Omnia Lite in sight. No one knew what it was. However stock for the Omnia 2 seems to be in excess here, and Omnia Pro's are filling up inventory shelves. However, I am still set on purchasing the Omnia Lite.
Hopefully, people living in the Philippines can give updates here once they spot the unit in the country.
Happy Omnia Lite hunting...

By the way, this phone is not available in the Philippines and definitely won't be anytime soon. Just like every other latest gadget release, the Philippines' release date for the B7300 is unforeseen and will probably be never. Singapore and other Southeast Asian countries have had this model for a while since last year.
In Manila, I've asked many stores (including the official Samsung stores) in Makati (Park Square) and Mall of Asia. Unintelligent salespeople didn't even know what I was talking about and thought I was making some "new model" up. Even the official Samsung stores had no sales personnel that knew their own products. Heck, they thought I was looking for a "light" for the Omnia. Haha.
I will most probably purchase this from another country; perhaps Singapore or Europe.
Once again, the Philippine economy loses patronage from a resident because of the inefficient release of new gadgets and the lack of training for salespeople.

Great to know that it shares many similar features as the Omnia II. I was thinking they would have slimmed the feature-set down because its a budget phone; but then again, I was proved wrong.

Jaidev (David), 21 Jan 2010Thanks for the quick reply. I will definitely purchase this... moreDavid, that I do not know or even tried. The only application I have running on both phones, is the SPB Mobile Shell which works great in both equipments ! If the Omnias which I own( II and Lite ) are great, with the SPB shell are even faster and better ! I presume you do not have problems running apps and games you used to run on the 900i, on the Lite ! The screen resolution between the II and the Lite is also different - it doubles on the II - and I have no problems whatsoever !

Have you tried loading any applications and games onto the Omnia Lite? Does it support all the games/apps for the Omnia i900? I was thinking this was the case because they had the same screen resolution of 240x400 pixels, but the screen sizes are different.
Please let me know if you get to try this. Thanks!

Has anyone actually bought this phone? I checked other sites and the keyboard for messaging has landscape mode. Maybe GSMarena reviewed an early prototype release without that feature.
The GSMarena review was on October 2009. These reviews were on late November 2009 and December 2009.
Landscape Keyboards are shown here:

Does this support SkyFire mobile browser? Also, if I get this phone, where can I download free games and applications? Are all Samsung Omnia i900 applications compatible with this?
Lastly, should I get the Omnia Lite, or Omnia i900? Both are around the same price now...
Thanks!
