Please help... I was told that everytime you send and receive to update your email the old emails will be deleted. I would like to keep all my email on my handset. Can anyone advise me how to set the handset to be able to do this. I would really appreciate the help. It is really irritating to lose all you email.

check that all your programs are closed. close them manually regularly by holding the "house" button to enter task manager...
the reception is like any other phone ive ever had, havnt noticed bad reception yet, however, when you get a call, there is a 1-2 second delay for the call to connect... meaning someone will phone you, and when you press the answer button it takes 1-2 seconds before you can hear the other person, minor bug but once youve experienced it it becomes habbit to wait a second

i installed operamini 5 for windows mobile. when i type, the letter i press on the keypad does not correspond with what appear on the screen. This make the opera mini 5 useless for me. Please what should i do?

Major problems with this handset. Used i780 before for 2 years without problems. OBF on first handset with screen that freezes and now the second hanset has exact same proble. Eg - if phone is locked and I want to un-lock, the screen freezes. Only remedy is to remove battery. When unit comes on again it warns of fatal error and dumping of files with option to notify Samsung...so dissapointing.

I've read thru all the comments, but nobody has mentioned whether the reception for voice calls is any good. i have had trouble with previous samsungs where reception isn't very good even right under a tower! let me know please.

I installed operamini 5 for windows mobile. When i want to type, the letter i press on the keypad does not correspond with what appear on the screen. This problem makes the opera mini 5 useless for me. Please what should i do?

Jarl , 05 May 2010How to turn xt9 off? to turn off xt9 compose new message>press alt+sym> choose the ABC then it will turn off the xt9. Hope this will help. :)

But this is what you do... go start, settings, connections, gprs, and choose your gprs settings, then under "connects to" change it to anything else and click done. then it will kick you back a step, go into your gprs settings again and under "connects to" change it back to "the internet"
it will disconnect then. Hope it makes sense.

I'm also from SA. What GPS device must I get for... moregarmin mobile XT. Go buy a SA Streetmaps 2010 dvd from cape union mart. Its only R15. Dont auto play the cd, open it in my computer and look for garmin mobile in one of the folders... you wil still need to download garmin mobile key generator and follow the instuctions. Its quite complicated. Otherwise you can buy the sd card with the maps pre installed on the card for like R900.
Of I was you I would google " how to install garmin mobile xt" or something in that fashion and then read through alot of sites. There is step by step instructions on the net.
