Hi to all Omnia geeks!!
I have bought this phone for quite some time now....and have to say it is reaallly gudd.. but i have not installed much of software , apps and games... i am also using WM 6.1 the version which i got with my phone though it says upgradable to 6.5 but havent upgraded it....so cud any of you pls tell me how to extract maximum out of this phone.....fyi i would want to have
1) a new interface to use...
2) should i upgrade to WM 6.5 ..if yes, then pls the source to do that as well...
3) some utlities software...
4) improved music quality
5) last but not least some real gud games...possibly some emulators...

i'm interested in buying this phone bec of all good reviews. but i noticed that there are less than 6k Ppol who vote for the phone. compared to other devices like nokia 5800 whre the phone get more than 10k votes. so does that mean this phone is not good? Pls help coz i kinda like this phone but is now doubting.

hi ppl!i live in Greece and for a couple of months i had been thinking of getting either one of B7610Pro or the motorola milestone..in the end i bought the omnia pro just yesterday,mostly coz of what i'd read in forums about its excellent battery and screen,and i looove it!
scrolling is always fast and smooth no matter how many apps i run,i found both web browsers(opera and internet explorer)to work very nice and smooth with only a few exceptions..on the multimedia side,i loaded an xvid copy of ghostrider and a divx copy of kick-ass,each of them being a normal 700-800'; fle,and guess what guys,videos run smoothly in fullscreen,at full frame rate,with the best coloujrs and contrast i ever saw this far on ascreen,not to mention that when the headphones are not plugged,the loudspeaker will not let you down!one thing i didn't like though,how the gps takes its time to lock,and also how the embedded maps application also stalls to open,however i don't intend on using the gps that often so no problem.

MyMobiler... It let me control my Phone from Windows XP... It has zoom in and zoom out... I can watch main screen and type from my computer for SMS or any other app... I use my PC mouse as if it were my finger/stylus.

After having several Winmo and one Android Phones... I can state that THIS PHONE IS ONE OF THE GREATEST PHONES EVER and it has a perfect balance btw Price/Quality/features...
1. I use almost all the time ONLY my fingers to control it.
2. Camera/Video: INCREDIBLE, Fast and acurate COMPLETELY without any distortion.
3. It has 512MB as Main Memory... 256MB RAM... 2GB My Storage (usable 1.4GB)... Plus 32GB Storage Card (hehehe).
4. Its QWERTY slide keyboard is an Excellent backup typing for me 'cause I prefer the Samsung 12-key and XT9. I use slide KB only with programs that doesn't recognize it by Software just like "MoHit SMSFilter" (it just use the windows standard kb and it is anyoing to change it from one to another)... Ah, and several games to play combining kb and touch display.
5. Powerful SOUND without distortion and speaker doesn't break (obviously after hacking registry).

then if the phne lags u may turn off samsung's interface n after u undrstand it cmpletely then u may go for custom roms

I'll try to stop myself from thinking about customizing my phone right away and focus on getting used to the system first. After that, probably I can start changing ROMs to those that were already posted here before. I can probably appreciate it better if I know what was in the original. :)

hi! sorry for asking a lot of questions... what is the diff between costum roms and the spb shell? i understand that ROM is the OS of the phone and spb is a tool to costumize. but does that mean i need to have both configured on the phone? what are the benefits of having two together or just having one? i'm really confused with this. please explain in layman. thanks again!!

oh and can someon give suggestions on what settings or things i need to initially tweak after getting the phone to improve it's speed? and to avoid losing mem card data? should i also install the spb shell right away? thanks in advance! yaaay i'm really excited!
