Balpreet, 12 Mar 2010Can anybody give me detailed description about GPS settings... moreSet it to "Auto". But you need to have a clear sky above your head for the GPS to work. Satellite signals are very weak. It doesn't work inside buildings. Also try updating the XTRA from
Settings>>General Settings>>GPS menu.
It'll help you in locating the signal, faster

since i use it(omnia pro) for browsing. do i need an antivirus/firewall program? since antivirus is running all the time it'll consume memory and power(as in pc). so will it affect performance and decrease it's battery life?

try the soft reset and try again

l r u us... morei m using the same nokia siemens router provided by bsnl.....but i m not able to conect it...have also tried making new connections from settings>advanced setting>connection>connections but it doesnt work...
would request you to help...how do u connect to internet...did u make any new connections???

l r u using the router given by bsnl r u buy it by ur own outside bec dlink and other router as some prob with connecting omnia

i m facing a problem while connecting wifi to BSNL broadband that i have at my hone....
now in past whenevr i used to connect it through my laptop i used to click on connect tab where all the username and passwword are given afetr turning ON my wifi..
but when i try to connect it on my omnia pro then though it does detect the network and it also gets connected but i could not open any page and also it does not ask for any username and pass. so what i m guessin iss does it has anything to do with settings> connections...
if yes, then what are the settings ...pls help! :(

i explained wat settings shud be changed and the values r given clear
i think shivraj found said i left 1 digit in that binary
as he know more abt that cal
but he doesnt know wat values shud be given and where it shud be given and i know ppl discourage more if the mistake has done once. But i given final value rite check out and chage according to ur needs

settings>general settings>power>battery power>change "turn of device" to "always turn on"
and change in external power setting the same "turn on the device"
after downloading change "always turn on to 1 min"
