really nice handset ....with a brilliant screen....
I HAVE ONLY ONE COMPLAINT........ THAT IS THE MESSAGING PART.....
THE write new message takes a long time to open...and that is really annoying to type the text message.... not only this the add recp... option also takes some tym... which is irritating...... .
else the set is fine.....
but they should improve the messaging part...
ONE problem more it takes bout 3 sec to flip the screen...... it should be very fast as on the mini...

if u ask me i would say nokia mini bec it has os wint no colour limitation as this has and more over u will get tons and tons of softwares for mini but not much for this but u will feel the windows expe in this

once upon a time, in a land far far away.. i used to have a S8003 Jet.. but then some a$$&#*@ picked my pocket...
sooo now despite logic tellin me to buy a cheapo fone.. im here again, lukin at the 7610..
quick question.. since sammy is screwin around and not updating it to 6.5 (here in India), has anyone tried doin it/gettin it done from someplace? and im guessin it sould be around 22k?
..though I really should by a nokia which i can flush down the toilet without thinking twice in a few months once winmo7 devices hit the market :P.. choices choices

Melissa, 20 Jan 2010I was very happy to finally get my hands on this phone afte... morehey first u must know something every os phone will b slow a bit bec of so many applications loaded so 3 sec is not a matter k more over u said u can c some line in middle so might b some problem better go for hard reset
try this type this on *2767*2878# and click call button hen wait for it to get rest and dont forget to backup before u reset k
and u must know some thing that u dont need to remove battery when hangs just click rest button on right side top of ur phone near stick hold press reset button using stick then ur phone will reset

I was very happy to finally get my hands on this phone after readin the reviews & the specs. But after using it for 10 days, I'm terribly disappointed.
1. This phone keeps hanging and I have to take out the battery to shut it off and restart it again. It hangs so often that I'm so fed up.
2. The OS is very sluggish. I've to wait like 3 seconds for every touch on the screen. Having to wait 3 seconds to open a sms while on the go is unacceptable to me.
3. The transition between the vertical screen and the horizontal screen when sliding the keypad in or out is bad. Right now, I have a horizontal black line, across the middle of my screen, while in vertical screen. I presume this is actually the bottom taskbar while in horizontal screen. Now in vertical screen, my bottom taskbar and the whole screen is non-responsive at all. I have to slide out the keypad to use the phone always. Even the call button fails to respond when i want to make a call.
Can anyone give me any advice regarding this? Or is the problem just with my handset and I should just go to the service centre?

i want to purchase a new winmo b7610. t... more1. s u can install all third party application
2. u can inntall all ppc application that r avilable but cant much applications as the nokia has but this mobile is much better than nokia touch and perfomance
3 this has 65 k colour limitation nokia dont have that but u will feel the windows experiance
4 it has gps and agps both this has route 66 which is very good but nokia has its own ovi map and not much effective
5 no need to download xtra data all time once u download it can stay for 6days and u can use that without downloading xtra data but downloading xtra data in every 6 days is better it might be just small 30 kb but very usefull
6.this has very very got email and very easy to cofig not like other just 2 to 3 step config it will download config automatically by its own no need to enter anything like nokia and it has good outlook express lotus support
7. music and video is good but with colour limitation
its overall good perfomance woths for money but buy according to ur uses.....

procedure is simple first download the samsung lbs software to ur phone then start it once and u must download rout 66 syncron after downloading connect ur mobile in active syncro mode to pc then syncro ur mobile with rout 66 syncron then clck the store u will get a free mad for download in india download and install it also u will get 2 voice for free downloa that too after downloading it will install automatically so no problem just unplug it frm comp start using navigator....
remember u must buy drive and walk , 3d bulding or etc for compleat process dor now u can find were u r after buying drive and walk u can fix the place for navigation i think its 380rs for month in indian money

shiva, 18 Jan 2010ur requirment r gps rite samsung has rout 66 which is used ... more@Shiva in some earlier post you had told some one to install route 66 and provided the link as well. I followed the same process but found out its of no use for me in india (Pro b7610) , it says no valid licence found do you want to download it, if i say yes or no it make no difference . When i browse through the menus it asks me to download maps and then says that you dont have licence buy now.
How you managed to use it , did you bought it.

I ran into some serious problem today. i was listening to music on my phone like from the speakers and then i got a call and after i got finished with the call the song started playing again but it was pausing and playing again so i just switched my phone off.Now i turned it on again but i'm not getting any sound. there's no sound in the speakers or the headphones not even when i get a call or call someone and it shows an error deive.exe something.could somebody help me with this.

with a an AMOLED (= sucks no battery power) screen resolution @ 480 x 800, a very decent CPU and thus performance, and compatibily with everything that java and windows mobile has to offer, along with a video player that supports almost any DIVX, XVID, MP4, WMV, and probably even more formats,...
I sometimes even dare to compare it with a netbook.
This Samsung phone has little (or nothing?) to fear with full-open-competing against HTC equivalent phones.

dear friends,
i want to purchase a new winmo b7610. this will be my first experience with windows mobile. earlier i was using symbian's. i have a few doubts in my mind which are
1: is it possible to install any windows mobile program on b7610 irrespective to user interface installed on mobile i.e. samsung's propritory interface.
2: can i use some other third party user interface or overall uninstall it.
3: does it has standalone gps or AGPS or both.
4: do i have to download that xtra data every time. what about the situations where no network is available.
5: which satnav software i should use with this one.
6: is it true that every windows mobile software is installable on every mobile regardless to mobile company and make.
dear friends though i know it is a big list but may i expect a solution/answer? ...... your help may ruin or save my hard earned money. thanks in advance.

hey in sunlight display is k not bad if u set display to auto can find better just as normal as htc has
