OK now it's available in the UK off contract, think i'm going to purchase.
Can any one who has used the phone just confirm what the build quality is like and does the keyboard feel well built or horribly plastic.
Thanks

Anonymous, 25 Nov 2009If you want put Nokia N900 to the battle and Motorola Droid =)The Nokia N900 and the Motorola Droid are two fine devices.
The Nokia N900 sports a 3.5 inch display with 16 million colors and offers one of the best looking screens I have ever seen. It's 5 megapixel camera with LED flash is supported with a protective lens to prevent scratches. A great idea from nokia, was to add a retractable stand on the back, to allow for excellent video watching.
The Droid utilizes android 2.0 Eclair. Even with a full sliding QWERTY keyboard, it is one of the thinnest devices. The screen, at 3.7 inches, supports one of the highest pixel densities, and great responsiveness.
The Nokia N900 is a brick; especially compared to the Droid. Unfortunately, neither device supports a great keyboard. Neither is terrible, but there is plenty room for improvement. The Droid has flat uncomfortable keys (thanks to the thinness of the device, and the included d-pad) and the n900 has only three rows, which feel great but are cramped.
Overall, the n900 seems to be a more powerful device, with its maemo os but the droid is so much more compact. The n900 is more of a laptop, while the droid is closer to a high tech phone.
Personally I would prefer the droid because its compactness and great functionality. But the n900 could support your needs just as well. Depends what your looking for.

Remember that if your going to buy one phone over the other because of its software, that software can be upgraded and made better, with a little work.

The Omnia i8000 compared to the OmniaPRO b7610...
Omnia i8000 has a slightly larger screen, and is thinner because of the lack of a keyboard. It also has the eye-candy cube interface, and is lighter. 3G wise, it supports 7.8mbps comared to Omnia b7610's 3.6mbps. It also supports 5.76 HSUPA which the PRO does not.
In favor of the omniapro?
A great keyboard, better battery life, more efficient software (of course there are always to improve a devices software), and the back cover looks interesting in red- that depends on what you like.
If you are a heavy messenger omniaPRO is better. If you like a thinner keyboard-less device, then get the omnia2

I'm in doubt what mobile to buy from the following either Samsung i8910 HD or Samsung B7610 or HTC HD2 or HTC Hero or HTC Touch Pro 2 or Sony Xperia 2 or Sony Satio. Can you please help me? thanks
"
First of all, the Sony satio, doesnt compare in functionality to the previously mentioned, only sporting a 12 megapixel camera iwht HD video recording in its favor. The Xperia's screen is smaller than its compeditors, with an 8 megapix. The Samsung i8910 HD is pretty much beat, the Xperia ties, its camera, and the Satio destroys its camera and video. Plus the HD2 has a much larger screen. The samsung b7610 has more advantages over the HTC touch pro 2 than the Touch pro2 has over it.
Overall, ill rank them in order, samsung b7610 and HtC HD2 are tied first. Then the Touch pro 2, then Xperia x2, then the samsung 18910 HD and Satio are close, with the Satio in front of it. Compared to the others, the Hero's only possible advantage is android.

On bottom of specs is written: voice memo/dial and in review: no voice dial. Does Windows Mobile based smartphones support voice dialing/commands or not? I can't find voice memo/dial on my Xperia X1.

I think to choose between the two, you just have to decide what form factor you want (ie whether you need a QWERTY keyboard or not).

Which is phone is nicer in terms of physical looks and which has better specs: samsung i8000 or samsung b7610? I can't decide on which one to buy. The pricing is not the problem I just can't make up my mind on which to buy :S I reckon omniapro is more for work but I like the looks n all but the i8000 has more functions and better UI so it's hard to choose. Pls give your opinions. Thx in advance :)

Kostas, 15 Nov 2009Hi to all. Does anyone know when it will be availlable?I li... moreKostas, I think that the problem here is Euroelectrnics... In Greece there isn't Samsung! All its products come here by Euroelectronincs...
The high price of Samsung mobile phnes in Greece is the reason that people here prefere Sony Ericsson from Samsung....
In Greece, at every 10 mobile phones, 6 are Sony Ericsson(with stupid themes), 3 are Nokia and 1 is something other(mainly Samsung)... If Samsung don't change something about its price in Greece, it never take a market place over 10%... :-(
